motorcycles, the Chinese ones performed perfectly from the very beginning.

In 2025, China plans to make more brain-computer interface
devices (BCI/脑机接口设备 ). These devices connect the human
brain to machines. They allow people to control machines just by
thinking. BCI technology can help in medicine and VR.
One BCI device called NEO was made by Chinese scientists.
Different from traditional devices that have to be connected with
long lines, it is a wireless device with eight small parts, so it can be
used at any time and in any place. These parts are placed on the head
3
and connected to the brain. NEO is made for people who cannot move their hands. It reads
orders from the brain and turns them into actions. Scientists started testing NEO in 2023,
and the results were very good.
One man with a spine injury (脊柱损伤) could not move his hands at all. Simple tasks
like eating or drinking were impossible for him. He started using NEO at home. After nine
months of practice, something amazing happened. He could eat meals, drink water, and
pick up things all by himself. His life changed completely. This success brought new hope
to him and his family.
The team behind NEO plans to test it on more people in 2026. They believe this device
can help thousands of patients in the future. Doctors hope NEO will one day become a
common tool in hospitals and homes.
BCI technology is still young, but it is full of possibilities. In the future, it may help
more patients live better. It shows us that science can truly make a big difference to people's
daily life.
27. What can people do with BCI devices like NEO
A. Move faster than before.
B. Control machines with their thoughts.

29. Which of the following is TRUE about the man with a spine injury
A. He could run and jump again with the help of NEO.
B. He no longer needed to stay at home after using NEO.
C. He could eat and drink by himself after 9 months of practice.
30. What is the writer's main purpose of writing this passage
A. To explain how BCI technology works.
B. To show how BCI devices improve people's lives.
C. To compare Chinese BCI devices with foreign ones.

Classics are good books loved for a long time, and they are very
important for middle school students. Reading these books is not just a
hobby but a necessary part of their study. 31
First, classics help students see a bigger picture. Unlike short
passages or textbooks, classic books like Tom Sawyer or Journey to the
West show different times, places and life stories. Middle school
students can “visit” the American countryside, ancient China or
European cities through reading. 32 This helps them look
beyond daily life and have a more open mind.
Second, classics make students’ language and writing skills better. Most classics have
good writing styles and many useful words. 33 For example, reading Lu Xun’s
works can teach them to write clearly and strongly. Reading easy parts of Shakespeare’s
plays helps them learn lively talks. These skills help a lot with their writing.
34 Many classics tell stories about courage, kindness and not giving up.
Characters like Robinson Crusoe, who keeps trying when in trouble, or Mulan, who is loyal
and brave, are good examples for students. Middle school students are forming their values,
and these good characters can guide them to be better people.
4
In short, classics are valuable. They help middle school students grow in seeing the
world, using language and building characters. 35 Even spending 20 minutes a
day can bring great benefits. Let’s start with a simple classic and enjoy the journey of
reading.
A.There are three main reasons below.
B.They learn how people lived in different times.
C.Third, classics help students build good characters.
D.When students read them, they slowly learn to use them.
E.Every student should make reading classics a regular habit.

life. Internet users share the colors they chose and the stories of their walks 49 (happy).
Many people say the activity helps them to lower stress. Whether the soft blue 50 the

第四部分 读写综合(共两节,满分 25分)
第一节 阅读下面短文,根据短文内容回答问题。
Nowadays, the idea of "Health First" has been the hot topic
in the new term. Many students still face problems such as Health First
myopia(近视), poor fitness and limited exercise. Some schools
even take up PE classes for other subjects. Keeping in good
health has become a must for students.
To put “Health First” into action, schools offer enough PE
classes and make sure at least two hours of daily physical activities. Taking up PE classes
for other subjects is not allowed. This can help students stay active and healthy instead of
sitting in classrooms all day.
Tsinghua University has set a good example. There are no classes after 5:00 p.m.. The
university runs a "Sunshine Sports" program and calls on students to do sports, requiring
students to finish 24 outdoor exercise sessions each term. From 2017 on, all the students
must pass a 50-meter swimming test before graduation, fully showing the spirit of "No
Sports, No Tsinghua".
6
As middle school students, we should understand that health is the number 1, and all
other things are just zeros behind it. Without good health, we can hardly study well or
achieve our dreams. Sports not only build up our bodies, but also shape our courage and
strong will.

healthy body can we study better, grow confidently and face the future with energy.
