W: Yes. I want to be your partner. That’s exactly why I’m here. What do you think our first
step should be
M: Great! We should start by finding the space for the project. I’ve been doing some research.
Watermelons require a lot of sunlight as well as loose and breathable soil.
W: In that case, we can ask Mr. Johnson to set aside a perfect area for us.
M: Yes. Speaking of soil, we might need to add some fertilizer to make the soil richer.
W: Good idea. Then I think we should decide on the specific type of watermelons. How about
Sugar Baby watermelons Moon and Stars watermelons are also good.
M: Well, I’m more into Yellow Doll watermelons. They’re much more special. What do you
think
W: Hmm, I’m with you. Then we should also think about a watering schedule.
M: Yes. But I don’t know how much water is required.
W: Me, neither. Why don’t we turn to Mr. Johnson He’d be happy to help us make a detailed
plan.
M: You’re right. Let’s go now!
Text 10少使用电子产品可改善青少年睡眠质量
W: A new Dutch study finds that teenagers who cut down on evening phone, tablet or
computer use sleep better after 7 days, feeling less tired and more focused. It also notes that
teens spending over 4 hours daily on screens go to bed and wake up about 30 minutes later on
average than those using screens for less than 1 hour.
The team tested 25 frequent device users to see how blue light-blocking glasses and evening
screen avoidance affect sleep. After a week, those who wore the glasses and skipped screens
went to bed and woke up 20 minutes earlier, with improved sleep shortage issues.
Kevin McConway, an Open University professor, said the research has interesting results but
he isn’t sure they’re correct. Most experts liked the study, which was presented at a yearly
European medical meeting in Lyon, France, but they stressed more studies are needed to
confirm the findings.
