UNICEF: UNICEF is an organization that works to improve the lives of children. UNICEF wants to make the world a better place for children. It provides food, health care and education for children in developing countries.
ORBIS: It helps the blind people or people with eye diseases in poor areas. ORBIS is famous for its Flying Eye Hospital. Doctors do operations on the plane.
WWF: WWF's mission is to conserve nature and reduce the most pressing threats to the diversity of life on Earth. They organize their work around these six areas, namely food, climate, freshwater, wildlife, forests and oceans
Oxfam: Oxfam is an organization that transcends racial, gender, religion and political boundaries. It works with government departments, all sectors of society and the poor to solve the problem of poverty and make them respected and cared for.

They are talking about Operation Smile.
It provides free operations and medical care to children born with lip problems, helping them breathe, eat, and speak normally and giving them a new life.

Amy: Do you know any important charities
Simon: Yes. For example, I’ve heard of Operation Smile. It was founded in
1982. There are about 6,000 medical volunteers in this organization.
Amy: So what do they do
Simon: Millions of children were born with lip problems. It’s difficult for
them to breathe, eat and speak. Operation Smile provides them with
free operations and medical care.
Amy: That’s great!
Simon: It is. Thanks to Operation Smile, every year, lots of children are
helped and given a new life.

I would like to volunteer for Doctors Without Borders. The reason is that I want to use my basic medical knowledge to help people in war-torn and disaster-hit areas who have no access to proper healthcare. I believe everyone deserves equal medical treatment, and this charity’s mission of providing medical help without borders matches my wish to bring hope to those in need.
