Dear fellow students,
As spring turns into summer, natural disasters are becoming more frequent.
We should raise our safety awareness and learn basic knowledge about disaster prevention in
our daily life. It is necessary for us to master simple and practical self-help skills to protect
ourselves from danger. Besides, we are supposed to take an active part in various safety drills
to improve our ability to deal with different emergencies wisely.
Let’s take action right now and value our lives as well as enjoy a safer and healthier school
life.
Yours sincerely,
Editor, Health and Life
第二节 读后续写 (满分 25分)
As they drove up to the library, a worker in a green T-shirt nodded a greeting. The sun was
still blazing in the cloudless sky, and waves of heat rose from the ground. Sam jumped out
and handed him a cold water bottle, saying, “This is for you.” The worker’s tired eyes
widened with surprise, and a grateful smile spread across his sweaty face. He called to the
others, and soon all the workers came down, drinking eagerly and patting Sam’s shoulder.
Watching them rest in the shade, Sam felt a warmth grow in his chest. On the way home, it
dawned on Sam that a small gesture of care could mean so much to another, and that a small
act could make a difference to the world.
听力原文
Text 1
M: What would you say is your best quality
W: Well, although my friends always think I am very smart and honest, I think my best quality is that I
like helping others. (1)
Text 2
W: Shall we go out for coffee We don’t have many coffee beans left to make it at home and I don’t feel
like going to the supermarket.
M: Yeah, OK. I’ve been wanting to visit Rise & Shine that just opened on High Street. (2)
Text 3
M: I’m surprised you made it to work today! Haven’t a lot of trains been canceled because of some
engineering problems
W: Yeah, I was planning to cycle, but then I found the train company offered buses that had a stop
near our company. (3)
Text 4
M: Oh, chocolate cake! Can I have some, Mom
W: Not until you’ve eaten something healthy. You had a huge hamburger for lunch. Eat some fruit. There
are apples in that bowl.
M: Fine! (4)
Text 5
M: I can’t believe the concert is tomorrow.
W: I know! We’ve been waiting for so long. It sometimes felt like this day would never come.
M: And now it’s almost here! There’s no way I’ll be able to sleep tonight! (5)
Text 6
M: Is that a smartwatch (7)
W: Yes, it is. (7) I got this for my 18th birthday, so I’ve had it for three years. (6)
M: I’ve been thinking about getting one. Would you recommend it
W: Definitely! I use it all the time for phone calls, and it’s been great for helping me track my daily steps.
But I am thinking about replacing it. (7)
M: Why What’s wrong with it
W: Nothing, really. But I need a new model that can play music, (7) so I don’t need to take my phone to
the gym.
Text 7 (第 8题为推断题)
M: Excuse me, are you trying to get a taxi
W: Yes. I’ve been standing out here on the street for five minutes trying to get one. I need to get to the
airport.
M: I’m heading to the airport too.Would you like to share a taxi (9) (10)
W: Sure. But they don’t seem to pick people up on the streets here.
M: I’m going to order one using an app that my friend told me about. (10)
W: Good idea. I never thought of that.
M: OK, it’s on the way now.
W: Great.
Text 8
M: Laura
W: Antonio! Hi! It’s great to hear your voice. (12)
M: You too! So, I’ve realized that since you’re visiting Bolivia in February, you’ll be here for La
Diablada! (11)
W: What’s that
M: It’s a huge festival. (11) People dress up in colorful clothes and masks(面具) and dance through the
streets, acting out a “good and evil” battle between monsters and angels. (11)
W: Wow, sounds amazing!
M: It’s a mix of local and Spanish traditions. Some people say its history goes back 2000 years.
W: Wow! Honestly, I can’t wait to get on that plane and see you in person. (12) Unlike Bolivia, it’s so
cold and dry here this time of year! (13)
Text 9 (第 14题为总结题)
W: Thanks for accepting this interview.
M: No problem! I’m always happy to talk about the school, and it’s a lovely story.
W: So, how long has Lucky been at the school
M: He joined us in September last year.
W: And how did you get the idea to get a“school dog”
M: Well, I had read a lot of research about the benefits of dogs in classrooms, particularly for helping kids
with their mental health.
W: Right, of course.
M: Many of our students were struggling to adapt when they first came to our school. (15) So, we
decided to try it. He quickly became very popular.
W:What does Lucky’s daily schedule look like (16)
M: He spends most of his time touring the classrooms, and the rest sleeping in my office. He’s pretty
lazy!
W: Ha-ha!
M: One of his main “jobs” is to listen to kids read. Shy or anxious kids seem to find this much easier
than reading to a human. It really helps build their confidence. (16)
Text 10
Welcome, campers! We’re so excited to have you here after the school term. I’m Mike Adams. I’m
in charge of the camp activities that you’ll experience this summer. (17) I recognize some old faces
from last year’s winter camp, but as many people are new, let me tell you a bit about Camp Birchwood.
(18) (19) We’ve been offering fun-filled adventures to boys and girls since 1937! (18) A lot has changed
over the years, but we do have one“old-fashioned” rule here…no screens! So, any personal electronics
must be handed in at the camp office. It may seem difficult to imagine spending a whole month here
without your phone. (19) But we believe camp is a chance to slow down and connect with nature. Don’t
worry… there are phones in the common room(公共休息室 ) to call home every few days. And you
certainly won’ t be bored! We offer everything from baseball and water-skiing to candy-making and
music. We also hold many special events, including competitions and weekly movie nights in the
outdoor meeting space. (20)We’re going to have a lot of fun together!
