作状语(目的/结果/原因)
作目的状语 She gets up early to catch the early bus to school.
作结果状语 The box is too heavy to carry for the little boy.
【表“出乎意料的结果”,常用“too...to...”(太……而不能)或“enough to...”(足够……能)】
作原因状语 I’m very happy to meet my old friend in the park.
【be + adj. + to do,表“因做某事而产生某种情绪”】
作独立成分(插入语) To tell the truth, I don’t think the game is good for our study.
动词不定式(to+动词原形)不能单独作句子谓语。
句子必须要有谓语动词,to do 只作宾语、状语、宾补等其他成分。

When see, hear, notice, make are in the passive form, we use to-infinitive after pare:

There are two forms of infinitive: to-infinitive (to do) and bare infinitive (do).
Here are some verbs that can be used in the structure: verb + object + infinitive.
