The French artist Georges Seurat created many paintings in his short lifetime. A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte is one of people’s favorites.People are attracted by this painting for three reasons.
Seurat created this painting in a special style called pointillism (点彩画法), which uses small dots (点) of colour.By putting two colours next to each other, people could see a third colour.
