A Pleasant Holiday Trip
The destination of our family vacation this year is Hangzhou. I bought the train tickets online, and then we took the high-speed train to Hangzhou, enjoying the scenery outside the window along the way. This made the travel comfortable and fast.
My favorite scenic spot in Hangzhou is the famous West Lake. We were deeply impressed by its beauty. We walked along the shore of the lake, admiring its beauty. We watched boats slowly sailing on the lake,
with water birds flying in the sky. We noticed tall trees along the shore with squirrels jumping in the treetops. Surrounded by distant green mountains, the West Lake looked like a fairyland on earth.
Ⅱ 读后续写
阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。
When I was 13,I climbed my first mountain—a fairly gentle 3,900-foot mountain near my home in Survey,British Columbia. I was overweight at the time and out of breath when I reached the mountain top. But I loved taking up the challenge in my life. Soon I'd climbed nearly 100 mountains. My parents were happy I'd finally found a hobby.
I often go climbing with my friend Mel Olsen. Two years ago,on December 30 when I was 16,she and I drove to Oregon to climb 11,240-foot Mount Hood.
It's safer to start winter climbs at night when there's less risk of the sun melting(融化) the snowpack. That day,we started at 3 a.m.,following the path alongside the ski runs. The temperature was about -10℃. We wore layers as we could easily remove, knowing the exercise world makes us warm. Along the way,we met two other climbers, and the four of us continued on together.
After about five hours,we reached Devil's Kitchen,a flat land at about 10,000 feet, just before the final push to the top. By this point, the wind conditions were too bad. My exposed skin felt as though it were burning. The other climbers decided to turn back. But Mel and I went ahead. We had ice axes(冰镐),helmets and other necessary tools. We were prepared for the climb.
The path we followed grew narrower and steeper. At around 9 a.m.,we reached endless ice steps. I volunteered to go first. I placed my left foot on the ice step. I got a sense of the ice when I stuck my axe into it,and it
felt good.Confidently,I thought I was safe. I put my full weight on the ice step. Suddenly,I heard a crack, and a whole piece of ice broke off the step, right under my foot.
注意:
1.续写150词左右;
2.请按如下格式在相应位置作答。
At that very moment,I fell backwards.________________________
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
As Mel made her way down,I cried for help.__________________

[参考范文]
At that very moment,I fell backwards. I could hear Mel calling my name while rolling down the mountain. I stuck out my arms and legs to take hold of anything. That stopped my turning over, but I was still sliding. Seconds later,I came to a stop just above the Devil's Kitchen. My clothes were torn, and my face was bloodied from cuts. For the most part,I was fine, except that I was suffering from a sharp pain in my left leg. The pain comforted me as I knew I was still alive.
As Mel made her way down,I cried for help.Hearing my shouting, other climbers came to help me. They called Portland Mountain Rescue. Mel stayed by my side while I tried not to cry from the pain. I was taken to a hospital, where I stayed for four days. The doctor told me it would be a year before I could climb again, but I was back within six months through intense but careful rehabilitation(康复训练). Since the accident,I've climbed another 60 mountains. I'll not let one fall stop me from pursuing my hobby.

M:We spend hours dreaming of getting away from it all.Two men from the Solomon Islands accidentally did that. They spent 29 days away from the fierce competition after getting lost at sea. They set off from an island on September 3rd in a small motorboat to travel 200 km to another island. It was a trip they had taken several times before.Soon after they set out, a storm messed up their navigation system. They lost their ability to find their location at sea.The storm blew them off course. They ended up 400 km away, off the coast of Papua New Guinea. The two men
were positive about their unplanned adventure. Rather than be upset, they said they enjoyed it.One man said, “We didn't know where we were but did not expect to be in another country.” They survived by eating oranges they had bought for their journey and fruit floating in the sea. A fisherman spotted their boat and they were rescued. The man said, “I look forward to going back home, but I guess it was a nice break from everything.”
