7B U2: Communicating in groups
范文1：Group discussion problem
Last week, my group had a discussion about our class project. At the beginning, everyone was excited, but soon we had a problem. All the members talked at the same time, and nobody listened to others. We felt angry and stopped working. I felt sad because we couldn’t finish our work. Then I said, “Let’s take turns to speak.” My group members agreed. We listened to each other carefully and finished the project successfully. In the end, our teacher praised us. I learned that listening is very important in group communication.

In our English class, my group needed to prepare a role play. Two members argued about the lines they should say. They shouted at each other and refused to talk. The rest of us didn’t know what to do. I felt worried because time was running out. Then I suggested asking our teacher for help. The teacher listened to both sides and gave us good advice. We followed her advice and practised hard. Finally, our performance was wonderful. I learned that asking for help can solve group problems and make us work better.

Then our teacher told us to solve the problem by talking to him nicely. So we sat down and said, “We need your help. Can you do this part ” He said sorry and started to work with us. He did his part very well. We got a good grade. I learned that we should talk about problems in a kind way, not complain behind others.

My group made a poster for a school competition. Two members disagreed on the colour of the title. One liked blue, and the other liked red. They argued for a long time and wasted half an hour. The rest of us felt upset. Then I said, “Let’s vote.” Everyone agreed. The result was three for red and two for blue. So we chose red. After that, we worked together quickly and finished the poster on time. We didn’t win, but I learned that voting is a fair way to solve disagreements in a group.
