After a short break, I felt it okay to take him home. As we walked out of the room, something suddenly caught my squirrel’s attention. Before I could react, he slipped from my scarf, with his eyes fixed on something across the room. There, in a cage, lay an injured adult squirrel. The vet told me that the adult squirrel had been hit by a car and was receiving treatment. Seeing my baby squirrel staring at the adult one carefully, I asked if they might be related. The vet thought it unlikely, but out of curiosity, we decided to find out.
