Ⅰ倒装句
完全倒装
away/off/down/up/in/out（表运动方向的副词）+谓语（go/flee/run/rush/dash等表运动的不及物动词）+名词
语用意义：人/物空间位置变化、情节发展推动
E.g.(2021新高考I卷）Upstairs went the twins, carrying the breakfast they had made. ( 双胞胎端着他们做的早餐上楼去了。）
Out of the darkness came a familiar voice, which made us joyful.（黑暗中传来熟悉的嗓音，使我们高兴起来。）
表地点的副词/介词（短语）+ 谓语（be/lie/stand/sit/exist/stretch/come等静态动词） + 名词
语用意义：描写静态场景、问题解决的线索、事件转机或重大突破
E.g.（2025新高考Ⅰ卷）Beside him was the dog wagging its tail and barking happily.（他的旁边是那条狗，摇着尾巴，高兴地叫着。）
(2022新高考Ⅰ卷)In front of me was his drooping head with his eyes fixed on the floor.（在我面前的是他耷拉着的脑袋，眼睛盯着地板。）
部分倒装
so + adj + be + 主语 + that
语用意义：强烈情感爆发，引起后续行动
E.g.(2023新高考Ⅰ卷)So crowded was the concert that I hardly found my seat.（音乐会人山人海，我几乎找不到自己的座位。）
So proud of Tommy was I that I knew never again would anyone mistake this boy for a bully!（我为汤米感到骄傲，我知道再也不会有人把这个男孩错当成恶霸了！）
2.形容词 + though / as + 主语 + be 动词
语用意义：人物内心冲突/矛盾情感
E.g.(2025新高考Ⅰ卷)Embarrassed as I felt, I still knocked on the door, waiting breathlessly.（尽管我感到尴尬，但我仍然敲了敲门，气喘吁吁地等着。）
(2022新高考Ⅰ卷)Exhausted as he was, he still rushed to the finishing line.（尽管筋疲力尽，他仍然冲向了终点线。）
3 never / hardly/in no case/under no circumstance倒装句
语用意义：突出戏剧性或意外性，强调紧急情况或转折
E.g.(2023新高考Ⅰ卷)Hardly had I heard my name when a wave of ecstasy swept over me violently.（我刚听到我的名字，一阵狂喜就猛烈地席卷了我。）
(2023新高考Ⅰ卷)Never had I won such an honour in writing, and my hard work paid off.（我从来没有在写作上获得过这样的荣誉，我的努力得到了回报。）
4 Not only……but also……倒装句
语用意义：连结并列成分
g.（2025新高考Ⅱ卷）Not only did they start to acknowledge one another by their Chinese names, but some also signed up for Chinese clubs or lectures like tea and Chinese calligraphy.（他们不仅开始用他们的中文名来辨认对方，而且一些人还参加了中国俱乐部或讲座，比如茶和书法。）
Not only did they send home large amounts, but they also saved money.(他们不仅寄回了大量钱款，还存了一些。)
5 Not until ＋状语/状语从句＋助动词/情态动词/be动词＋主语＋其他
Only＋状语/状语从句＋助动词/情态动词/be动词＋主语＋其他
语用意义：事件感悟、反思升华
E.g.(2023新高考Ⅰ卷)Only by daring to try for the first time can we make a breakthrough.（只有敢于尝试第一次，我们才能取得突破。）
(2025新高考Ⅰ卷)Not until then did I realize how sad my brother felt. （直到那时，我才意识到弟弟感到多么难过。）
Ⅱ强调句
It is／was＋被强调部分＋that／who＋其他成分．
语用意义：
强调某时刻
g.（2022新高考Ⅰ卷）It was at that moment that I saw David’s determination .(就在那一刻，我看到了David的决心。)
（2023新高考Ⅰ卷）It was then that I truly understood what I had accomplished was not just about winning a contest, but about realizing my own potential. （正是那时，我真正地理解到我得到的不仅仅是赢得了一场比赛，而且是发挥了自己的潜力。）
强调重要人物
E.g.(2023新高考Ⅰ卷)It is you who make me fall in love with writing. (是你让我爱上写作。)
It was that boy who saved the drowning kid.（就是那个男孩救了溺水的儿童。）
主旨升华
E.g.It is friendship that plays an important role in our lives. （友谊在我们的生活中起重要作用。）
It is love that makes the world go round.（是爱让世界运转。）
Ⅲ虚拟语气
1.Without/But for...
语用意义：表示感激之情
E.g.（2024新高考Ⅰ卷）Without/But for your help, I wouldn’t have got on the bus and arrived in Prague on time.(如果没有你的帮助，我就不会赶上公交车，准时到达布拉格。)
（2023新高考Ⅰ卷）Without/ But for the help from my teacher， I wouldn’t have realized my mistakes and changed my attitude towards competitions. （要不是老师的帮助，我是不可能意识到我的错误，并且改变我对比赛的态度。）
2 if sb...， sb... .
语用意义：表达纠结的心情
E.g.（2024新高考Ⅰ卷）I explained to him that if I shouldn’t catch the bus, I would be forced to stay overnight and buy a new ticket the next morning. (我向他解释，如果我没有赶上公交车，我将不得不在外过夜，重新买明天的车票。)
If I didn't have this important exam tomorrow, I would go on a trip with you. But I can't risk my future. If I had prepared better in advance, I wouldn't be so nervous now.（要是我明天没有这场重要的考试，我就会和你一起去旅行。但我不能拿我的未来冒险。要是我之前准备得更充分些，我现在就不会这么紧张了。）
3.If only...
语用意义：表达强烈的愿望
E.g.If only I had been the 3rd runner who had got to the finish line.(要是我是第3位到达终点线的跑步者该多好啊！)
If only I could fly like a bird and escape from this boring meeting. I have so many more interesting things to do.（要是我能像鸟儿一样飞，逃离这个无聊的会议该多好啊。我有太多更有趣的事情要做。）
4.How sb wished that ... had（not）done sth
语用意义：表示后悔或遗憾
E.g.How Timmy wished that he hadn’t been so rude to his coach. (Timmy多么希望之前没有那么粗鲁地对待教练啊！)
How I wished that I had studied harder in high school. Now I realize how important knowledge is.（我多么希望我在高中时能更努力学习啊。现在我才意识到知识有多重要。）
5 . sb．+谓语, wishing that．．．
语用意义：表示希望
E.g. I was rooted on the ground due to being frightened, wishing that I had refused my mother’s advice yesterday.（我由于恐惧愣在那里，真希望我昨天拒绝妈妈的建议。）
She sat in the corner, crying softly, wishing that she hadn't been so stubborn. Now she had lost the chance to make up with her boyfriend.（她坐在角落里轻声哭泣，真希望自己没有那么固执。现在她失去了和男朋友和好的机会。）
as if...
语用意义：生动地描绘
E.g. （2022新高考Ⅰ卷）David insisted on running as if he had forgotten all his weaknesses, though he was tripped over within a few kilometers. (David坚持跑步好像他忘记了自己的缺点，尽管他在几公里以内被绊倒了。)
The snowflakes danced in the air, as if they were little fairies performing a beautiful ballet. It was a truly magical sight.（雪花在空中飞舞，仿佛是小仙女们在表演一场美丽的芭蕾舞。这真是一幅神奇的景象。）

In a class discussion, I was invited to explain the meaning of my name.Recalling the former experiences, I was fully aware that if I explained it directly, the class would turn out to be an embarrassing atmosphere. Stepping slowly onto the platform and facing my classmates, I gradually uttered， “My Chinese name is Qiuyu, representing the rain in the autumn in bining seasons with climates, it definitely illustrates that Chinese characters can convey profound meanings.” Upon hearing my explanation, the entire class burst into deafening applause.
