Learning English Beyond the Classroom
There are many ways of learning English. According to our recent heated discussion themed on the ways of learning English beyond the classroom, appreciating English songs is the most likeable,accounting for 65%,followed by watching English movies and reading English books, occupying 50% and 18% separately. Compared with the three ways above,browsing English learning websites is the least popular, taking up only 12%.
Obviously, as is shown from the data, students show great interest in entertaining English activities beyond the classroom, which not only enables them to enhance English learning effectively, but also relieves themselves from the study burden.
From my perspective, any way that suits us best is a good choice. However, it is also recommended that more importance should be attached to students’ self-discipline when having entertaining English activities beyond the classroom. Only in this way can students cultivate a positive attitude to learning English.
