Successful people from the dreamers is their persistent (锲而不舍的) action. When you learn your lessons in school, you must work hard and not give up. You will often find some of your lessons very hard. Try and keep trying, and you’ll be sure to successfully deal with any difficulty you meet with. If we have a hard lesson today, let us try our best to learn it well and then we shall be prepared for a harder one tomorrow.
This is the famous formula (公式) for success:
Dream>Believe>Achieve
Most people have what they want (Dream) and think they can realize their dreams (Believe). And then they do nothing. They just imagine their dreams can come true. When they get tired waiting and lose a lot, they get bored. They say angrily how terrible their life is.
I personally believe that if you really want to achieve your dreams and goals in life, you have to add one thing to your success formula:
Dream>Believe>Act>Achieve
For me, act is the most important thing for success and that’s to Take Persistent Action (Act). If you say, “I can’t do it” and give up, you can never do anything valuable. However, “I’ll try” creates wonders. Let’s remember that there will be problems in our life. We must face them bravely and solve them. Success is not something that falls down from the sky. Most successful people made their dreams come true because of their persistent action.
Please remember: Action is the bridge that connects our dreams and goals to reality.
25.What should you do when you find your lessons very hard
A. Ask people for help. B. Try and keep trying.
C. Get ready to create wonders. D. Prepare for a harder one.
26.Which does the writer add to the famous formula
A. Connect. B. Achieve. C. Act. D. Create.
27.Why does the writer use the formula “Dream > Believe>Act>Achieve”
A. To support his idea. B. To ask readers to explain it.
C. To show what his goals are. D. To compare it with a bridge.

How do you remember the way to your house Where do dreams come from It is your brain (大脑) that does these things. A British scientist showed that "sleep can improve one's memory." It's not a dream for students to study when they sleep. In fact, your brains is working day and night. If you learn words before bed, a certain part of the brain may help you to remember the words while you sleep. What's more, another scientist in the USA found that there was a "talent button (天才按钮)" in the human brain. It might make a person more talented.
There are more interesting things about the brain. Your brain uses less energy than a fridge light. Just two bananas can give the brain enough energy to work for a whole day. According to some scientists, yawning(打哈欠) keeps our brains "cool", which makes us think quicker.
Here are some pieces of advice to keep a good brain:
Eat healthy food.
Get a lot of playtime or exercise.
Don't drink or smoke.
Use your brain a lot.

28.A British scientist found out that ______ could improve our memories.
A. drink B. dreams C. sleep D. bananas
29.According to the passage, if we want to have a good brain, we should ______.

C. work longer hours D. remember fewer things

Buck did not read the newspapers. He did not know that trouble was coming for every big dog in California. Gold-diggers (淘金者) had found gold in northwest Canada, and these men wanted big, strong dogs to work for them in the cold and snow of the north.
Buck had lived in Mr Miller’s house for four years since he was born. There were large gardens and fields of fruit trees around the house, and a river nearby. In a big place like this, of course, there were many other dogs, but they lived together in the kennels (犬舍), or inside the house. But Buck was neither a house dog nor a kennel dog. He was king—king over the whole of Mr Miller’s lands. He went swimming with Mr Miller’s sons, and walking with his daughters. He carried the grandchildren on his back, and he sat at Mr Miller’s feet in front of the fire in winter.
It was 1897 and the discovery of gold brought men from everywhere to northwest Canada for gold-digging. But Buck did not read the newspapers. And he did not know that Manuel, one of Mr Miller’s farmers, needed money for his large family. One day, when Mr Miller was away on business, Manuel and Buck left the garden together. It was just an evening walk, Buck thought. No one saw them go, and only a strange man saw them arrive at the railway station. This man talked to Manuel, and gave him some money. Then he tied a piece of rope around Buck’s neck.
Buck growled (低吼). Gradually it was hard for him to breathe when the rope was pulled hard around his neck. He jumped at the man in anger. The man caught Buck and forced him to lie on his back. For a few moments he was unable to move. When the train arrived, the man threw him into the train...

In a little fishing village in Southern Thailand, there are some boys who like to play football. They play with a lot of excitement and interest, running, shouting, jumping and kicking. These boys are really good at controlling the ball because their football field is a raft (木筏) in the middle of the sea. They live on Koh Panyee Island, where all the houses are built on tall wooden sticks. The village has 300 families, but even though it is small, the football team from the village has been very successful. The Panyee Football Club has won the Thai Youth Football Championships seven times since 2004.
The story of the Panyee Football Club began in 1986 when some young boys from the village were watching the World Cup Football Championships on TV. Suddenly one of the boys said, “We watch football on TV, but we’ve never played it.” The boys made a decision. “Our football team starts today. We want to become world champions!” they shouted. But the villagers laughed at them. They asked, “Are you crazy Have you ever played football before You’ve already formed a team, but have you found a football field yet How can you practise ”
The boys made up their mind to make their dream come true. They used old fishing boats and pieces of wood to make a floating (漂浮的) football field. They practised for hours every day, even when it was very wet and smooth after a heavy rain. In their first year, they made it to the semifinals of the local football competition.
The story reminds us that anything is possible only if we set our mind to chase our dreams. The boys never gave up their dream, even when they faced many difficulties. Their hard work paid off, and they became champions.
