Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)is a defining legacy of Chinese civilization
and remains one of the major traditional medical systems still widely practiced in the
world today. In recent years,TCM has played a prominent role in global health
governance and its internationalization has made substantial progress.TCM has
spread to over 200 countries and regions, and more than 100 member states of the
World Health Organization recognize acupuncture therapy.China has supported the
high-quality development of around 30 overseas TCM centers and dispatched medical
teams to more than 70 countries and regions.TCM consistently serves as an important
component of China's foreign medical assistance, laying a solid foundation for its
standardized and sustainable development abroad.
In 2019,the WHO approved the inclusion of a separate chapter about TCM in
the 11th Revision of the International Classification of Diseases for the first time.
TCM has since been officially included in the global medical system. Also, the
International Organization for Standardization has issued 119 TCM-related standards,
covering terminology, diagnosis and treatment, medical devices with clinical services
and quality control.
While TCM has secured an increasingly visible presence in global health
governance, its journey toward full internationalization is still lined with countless
twists and turns. It faces substantial regulatory and market access barriers,as
countries differ widely in their requirements for drug registration, approval and
supervision. In many jurisdictions, evaluation systems tailored to traditional
medicines have yet to be established, and TCM is often categorized as complementary
or alternative medicine, resulting in complex procedures and high entry costs. Some
countries also impose high tariffs or burdensome import procedures on Chinese
medicinal materials and related products.
TCM can play a distinctive role in global health governance and contribute
Chinese wisdom to the improvement of human health worldwide by upholding the
essence oftradition while pursuing innovation, proactively aligning with international
rules, strengthening the cultivation of global talent and making effective use of
modern technologies
32.What does the author highlight in the first paragraph
A.TCM's history.
B.TCM's influence.

参考范文 1:
Dear Peter,
I’m delighted to hear you’re interested in community volunteering. After careful consideration, I’d highly recommend the Community Plant Care program.
Here are my reasons. Firstly, it offers a unique, hands-on experience that allows you to connect directly with nature and your neighbors. You’ll get to learn about local plants and contribute to the community’s aesthetic and environmental well-being, which is incredibly rewarding. Secondly, this activity is less language-intensive, so you can focus on the work itself and bond with others through shared actions rather than complex conversations. It’s a gentle and effective way to immerse yourself in the joy of labor.
I sincerely hope my suggestions will be of some help to you.
Yours,
Li Hua
参考范文2:
Dear Peter,
It’s wonderful to hear you’re looking for a volunteer opportunity. I strongly suggest you sign up for the Senior Smart Class.
My recommendation is based on two key points. Firstly, this role allows you to make a positive impact on the lives of seniors. By teaching them how to use smartphones, you’re helping to bridge the digital divide and empowering them to stay connected with their families and access essential services. Secondly, it’s a fantastic chance for you to practice your communication skills and learn about the values from the older generation. It’s a deeply meaningful exchange that benefits both you and the community.
I hope you will find my suggestions helpful.

范文:
Fearing the worst, Lucy approached the group. Instead of teasing her, she was greeted with bright, excited grins. “We were just talking about your fall!” one student said, leaning forward, “It’s perfect for our project’s opening—raw, chaotic, and totally relatable!” Lucy’s tense shoulders softened, and she let out a shaky laugh. As she stepped closer, the group shifted over to make space, patting the seat beside them. At that moment, she saw that showing her awkward side wasn’t a flaw—it was the spark of a story waiting to be told.
Her fall was now being transformed into a dramatic scene. They mapped out the shot: the clatter of her bag, the slow-motion skid, the quiet moment she picked herself up. After slow-motion effects and background music were added, the awkward moment was soon turned into something visually striking. One of them even excitedly suggested using Lucy’s name, as a play on words, for their project: “Lucy Falls” . Lucy smiled to herself, thinking, “Lucy did fall, but
this time, I might just leave a lasting impression”, realizing that sometimes even a fall could lead to something extraordinary.

Hello, everybody. I’d like to share with you something about Vincent van Gogh in today’s class. (17) He died as a very poor man because people from his generation were unable to understand his art.
Vincent van Gogh personally loved drawing self-portraits. Thus, there are over
35 self-portraits in total. (18) His artworks include oil paintings, sketches and watercolor paintings.
The characteristics of his paintings can be classified into three aspects: themes, colors and styles. The themes of his paintings, which are my favorite, are mostly countryside scenery and farmers’ ordinary life. (19) Vincent van Gogh often used
bright colors to create a sense of impact. The most unique thing is style. He conveyed strong and powerful emotion through simple and direct ways of painting. His life about art has been made into movies, books and other forms. After today’s class, every one of you needs to watch the documentary movie called Vincent van Gogh: Painted with Words. (20) It will give you a new perspective on this great artist.
