一、学情分析 八年级学生经过上学期的学习，已有扎实的英语基础，但水平参差不齐。部分学生基础知识掌握有漏洞，还有部分学生读写能力较弱；部分学生学习习惯较差，缺乏主动性。需根据学生差异，采取分层教学策略，兼顾整体与个体需求。这样可以更好地适应新学期八年级下册的学习。
二、教材分析 本单元围绕“伟大发明”主题，整合语言知识与文化内涵。教材通过发明故事、产品介绍等文本，呈现一般过去时被动语态（如"was invented"）和情态动词表推测（如"must have been"）等语法点，帮助学生掌握科技类话题的表达逻辑。 内容设计注重实用性与思维培养：阅读材料涵盖历史发明（如电话、互联网）和现代创新（如环保科技），培养学生信息提取与归纳能力；口语活动通过“发明展示”“问题解决”等任务，提升语言运用与批判性思维；写作环节引导学生撰写发明介绍或创意设计，强化书面表达能力。 教学中需结合跨学科元素，如科学史、环保理念，激发学生创新意识。通过对比中外发明案例，渗透文化自信教育。同时关注不同层次学生，设计分层任务，确保全员参与。本单元不仅提升语言技能，更培养学生科学素养与社会责任感。
三、教学目标 1. Students will be able to master the vocabulary related to transportation: plane, train, bus, subway, bike, car, ship, etc. - Students will be able to use sentence patterns to talk about transportation preferences: "I prefer to travel by... because...", "Which way of travelling do you like best Why " 2. Improve students' listening and speaking skills through group discussions and role-plays. - Develop students' ability to express personal preferences and reasons.

●Step1 Warming up （2min） - Show pictures of different transportation modes and ask students: "What's this How do you call it in English " - Play a short video clip about people traveling by various means, then ask: "How do these people travel Do you like traveling How do you usually travel "
●Step2 Pre-reading （3mins）
●Step 3 Reading (15mins) - Teach new vocabulary: plane, train, bus, subway, bike, car, ship, etc. Use flashcards and pronunciation drills. - Introduce sentence patterns: "I prefer to travel by... because...", "Which way of travelling do you like best Why " - Model dialogues with students, e.g.: T: Which way of travelling do you like best S: I like traveling by train best. T: Why S: Because it's cheap and comfortable. 2.read and answer. 3.read and complete the sentence.

Step 5 Summary （5min） Summary & Homework - Summarize the key vocabulary and sentence patterns. - Homework: Write a short paragraph (50-80 words) about your favorite way of travelling and why you like it.
