In a field in England, three little robots have been given a great job: to find and kill grass before planting seeds in the soil.
The robots are named Tom,Dick and Harry.Tom is the first of the three clever robots to start working. He watches the crops carefully and collects the information about each plant. He can create a short introduction to each plant and even make decisions on what chemicals are needed for your crops.
Dick does the dirty work.He can go to each plant that is doing bad to the crops and take it out.Plants that are good for the crops are left.He can spray things like chemicals in order to keep plants healthy.
Harry is a planter. He digs holes into the field and puts seeds into the ground, and records where he puts them.If a seed doesn’t grow,he can easily travel there and plants a new seed.
The smart robots are made by Small Robot. The British company says farmers could reduce costs by 40% and chemical usage by up to 95%.The little robots allow farmers to free their soils from chemicals.Using fewer chemicals is going to save much money and is good for the environment. As well as reducing the use of chemicals, robots will bring us better soil quality and more plants and animals.

When Emily Cummins was very young, her grandfather gave her a hammer and taught her how to use it.She became interested in it and began to make toys from old things.
When she was a teenager, she thought a lot about making inventions to help other people. Her grandfather had an illness. He had a lot of pain in his hands and fingers. One day Emily saw he had trouble getting toothpaste (牙膏) out.She made an invention that helped him with this, and won the Young Engineer for Britain Award for her toothpaste dispenser (自动取物器).

The carrot knife is a fun, plastic toy that can be folded. It is designed in the shape of a carrot. It has quickly caught the attention of young people nationwide.
The toy is the creation of a college student interested in 3D printing. At first,it was just one of his works. But it quickly became popular online. What interests the children most is its blade (刀刃) that can swing in and out. Also, the carrot knife caught the eye of the children because of the cute shape and beautiful colours. What’s more,it can be as cheap as an eraser,so the children have no difficulty in buying one.As a result, the toy becomes more and more popular among children.
However, experts are worried that the carrot knife could be dangerous.Although it looks cute and has a soft plastic blade, the toy can become a tool to hurt others during a fight. What’s worse,it may create the connection with actual violence (暴力) in children’s minds.Almost all the videos about the toy have clearly shown the scenes of stabbing (刺) and playful throat-cutting with this toy. Some producers of the toy even use phrases such as “stab whomever you dislike” or “click, click, watch me stab you” to increase their sales. This may have a very bad influence on people under the age of 18.So experts are strongly encouraging parents not to buy these toys, and students should not buy them themselves.

Looking ahead,I’m excited about AI’s potential in education and healthcare where it can make knowledge more accessible and improve medical diagnosis.
  Yours,
  Li Hua
