第一节(满分 15分)
66. Dear Jennifer,
Knowing that you are interested in Chinese festival culture, with the Dragon Boat Festival approaching, I’d
like to tell you some details of this festival, which are as follows.
The Dragon Boat Festival, one of the most important festivals in China, falls on the fifth day of the fifth
month of the Chinese calendar. Dating back to 2,000 years ago, it was celebrated in memory of Qu Yuan, who was
loyal to his country but was so heartbroken that he drowned himself in a river. Since then, it has become a
traditional custom for people to eat rice dumplings. Besides, the festival is well known for its dragon-boat races,
especially in the southern places where there are many rivers and lakes. It’s very popular in my hometown,
Dongguan.
I sincerely hope, if possible, that you can come here in China to have a real experience about it. I’m looking
forward to your coming.
Best wishes,
Li Hua

We tied the basket to the rope and slowly lowered it into the hollow. The kitten was so scared that it hid in the
corner at first, but when it smelled the cat food we put in the basket, it stepped in carefully. We pulled the rope up
gently, and finally got the little guy out safely. It was covered in dirt, with a small cut on its paw, but it purred
softly as soon as it was in our arms, as if thanking us. We wrapped it in a warm scarf and decided to take it home
first.
After we took the little cat home, we gave it a warm bath and prepared some milk for it. It drank the milk
hungrily, and soon became lively, playing with our dogs gently. We posted its information on the community group,
hoping to find its owner. A few days later, a little girl came to pick it up, crying with joy. We learned that the kitten
had run away from home and got lost.
This experience taught us that every small life deserves to be cherished, and we should always be ready to
help those in need, whether human or animal.

1.【原文】M: Hello, is your cafe on Main Street I’ve been riding up and down in this heat but can’t find it.
W: It’s located in a narrow passage next to Sunny Supermarket.
M: Got it. I’ll be there shortly to pick up my customer’s takeout.
2.【原文】M: I always feel sleepy when I get back to work in the afternoon.
W: Do you get enough sleep at night
M: Yes. I lead a healthy lifestyle — exercising regularly and sleeping for eight hours each night.
W: Maybe you should rest a bit during the lunch break.
3.【原文】M: Any ideas for our one-day tour in Nanjing tomorrow
W: I’d love to go to the Hongshan Forest Zoo and the Nanjing Museum.
M: How about a short walk in the Xuanwu Lake Park after visiting the zoo The museum requires booking at least
two days in advance.
W: OK.
4.【原文】M: How was the magic show
W: Well, the tricks were nothing new. They were old hat to me and didn’t excite me at all.
5.【原文】M: Honey, how about buying this pair of white shoes Jason can wear them for his football practice.
W: It’s hard for him to take care of white items.

【原文】M: Isla, I noticed the teddy bear hanging on your bag. It’s so lovely! Where did you get it
W: Oh, I received it as my graduation gift this year. It even wears a T-shirt featuring my English department logo.
M: I got some sunflower seeds as my graduation gift last year.
W: I remember you once mentioned your campus has a sunflower field.
M: Exactly! It’s right behind my English department building.

【原文】W: Gary, Father’s Day sales are in full swing in the mall. How about checking out some stores upstairs after
finishing our meal I’m thinking of getting a leather coat and mailing it to my dad. There are only a few days left
before June 21st.
M: OK. Actually, in Germany, Father’s Day is not on the third Sunday of June, but falls on the fortieth day after
Easter Sunday, which was May 14th this year.
W: How do you usually celebrate it
M: Normally, I take my father on a hiking trip. But this year, I was studying here in America. So, I bought him a
set of fishing equipment.

【原文】M: Olivia, have you reviewed the interview outline I wrote for the volunteer teaching group
W: Yes. You went into such detail, digging into the group’s work and the outcomes of its efforts. It really shows a
deep understanding of how the group helps children develop a love for English.
M: Thanks.
W: But instead of focusing too much on teaching techniques, I suggest exploring teachers’ special roles more —
like how they connect with children.
M: Anything else I should improve
W: Maybe you could also talk about the difficulties that volunteer teachers have to overcome, such as the living
conditions and communication with parents.
M: That’s an idea! I shall prepare some extra questions before my scheduled interview with the volunteer teachers
on Monday.

【原文】M: Tina, where are you off to
W: Harbor Freight. I want to buy some bird food to invite birds to my backyard.
M: You and your brother are both such nature enthusiasts. I often see him camping in the park near our community.
Well, what got you into birding
W: I watched a mystery drama in order to relieve work stress, and it inspired me. The detective in the drama gains
insights from birding to help spot even the smallest clues and solve cases. I think birding can also help me observe
details and reflect on what I’ve seen.
M: So, what kind of birds have you seen so far
W: I often see Northern Mockingbirds and Mourning Doves. Although Northern Cardinals are on the list of the
most common backyard birds, I rarely see them.
M: What do they look like
W: Have you played the video game Angry Birds Northern Cardinals look just like the character Red.
M: I think I’ve seen a few on the mountain nearby. How about going there this Sunday
W: Deal!

【原文】M: A global children’s charity art exhibition, “Small Canvas for the Mind”, featured 40 paintings selected
from hundreds of artworks. They were created by children aged 6 to 16 from China, Singapore, Canada and
Hungary. The exhibition was held at Haitang Academy in Beijing’s Yuanmingyuan Park. Using art as a universal
language, these young artists expressed themes of emotion and personal growth in order to offer adults a unique
window into the inner world of children. The exhibition was organized by 2 young art enthusiasts — 10-year-old
Zhang Yucheng and 9-year-old Zhang Yuxiao. Zhang Yucheng worked together with artist Xu Zhuo’er to create the
artwork which was inspired by Yucheng’s mother’s favorite animal — the rabbit.高一(英语)学科素养阶段训练

At the 2025 National Swimming Championships, Chinese swimmer Li Bingjie made a big splash (引起轰动).
After setting a new Asian record in the women’s 400-meter freestyle, she went on to sweep gold medals in the
women’s 200m, 800m and 1,500m freestyle. Even after her successes, the 23-year-old stayed calm.
From a family of professional swimmers, Li has been talented and confident in swimming since she was
young. At the 2017 Budapest World Championships, the then 15-year-old girl was a dark horse in China’s
swimming team, winning a bronze in the women’s 400m freestyle and a silver in the 800m freestyle. But soon after
this highlight (高光时刻), her career took an unexpected dark turn. At the 2019 Gwangju World Championships, Li
failed to qualify (获得参赛资格) for the finals in both the women’s 400m and 800m freestyle. The following year,
she badly hurt her wrist during training.
Even in the darkest moment of her career, Li didn’t give up her dream of winning at the Olympics. To get
back on top form, she swam at least 10,000 meters every day and ran 100 laps (圈) on a high-altitude track field
from morning until noon.
“You are facing the bottom of the pool when you’re swimming, and no one’s talking to you. It’s very dull and
can be very frightening,” Li told The Beijing News about her long-distance training. It was these tough moments
that shaped her into the calm, strong and gentle person she is today.
At the 2024 Paris Olympics, she helped the Chinese swimming team take home a bronze medal in the women’
s 4×200m freestyle relay. But she still has one more goal: to win an Olympic gold medal in individual events.
“Despite the long road ahead, I will keep chasing (追逐) my dreams,” she told Hebei Daily.
24. What did Li Bingjie achieve in 2025
A. She won a gold and a silver medal.
B. She won more than one gold medal.
C. She managed to qualify for the finals.
D. She set a new world record in swimming.
25. What do we know about Li Bingjie’s experience in 2019 and 2020
A. Her career once suffered great setbacks.
B. She failed because she didn’t train hard enough.
C. She lost all confidence in her swimming career.
D. She was forced to quit swimming for a short time.
26. What can be inferred from Li Bingjie and training experience
A. She thinks training with others is more effective.
B. She only trains hard to win Olympic gold medals.
C. She gains strength from the dull and tough training.
D. She complains about the hardship of long-distance training.
27. What does the text mainly talk about
A. A Star’s Return to Glory B. The Highlight of Li Bingjie
C. The Power of Family Support D. The Challenges in Swimming

Can exercise during childhood protect you against memory loss many years later Exercise early in life seems
to have lifelong benefits for the brain, in rats at least.
“This is an animal study, but it shows that physical activity at a young age is very important — not just for
physical development, but for the whole lifelong track of cognitive (认知的 ) development during ageing,” says
Martin of the University of Toronto, Canada. “In humans, it may put off the appearance of Alzheimer’s (阿兹海默
症) symptoms, possibly to the point of preventing Martin’s team divided 80 young male rats into two equal groups,
and placed running wheels in them.”
Martin’s team divided 80 young male rats into two equal groups, and placed running wheels in the cages of
one group for a period of six weeks. Around four months later — when the rats had reached middle age — the
team taught all the rats to connect an electric shock with being in a specific box. When placed in the box, they froze
with fear.
Two weeks later, the team tested the rats in three situations: exactly the same box in the same room, the same
box with the room arranged differently, and a completely different box in a different room.
The rats without access to a running wheel when they were young now froze the same percentage of times in
each of these situations, suggesting they couldn’t remember which one was dangerous. But those that had been able
to run in their youth froze 40 to 50 percent less in both changed box settings.
“The results suggest the amount of physical activity when we’re young, at least for rats, has influence on brain
and cognitive health — in the form of better memories — when we’re older,” says Arthur Kramer of
Northeastern University in Boston, who has found that, in humans, exercise improves the growth of new brain cells.
28. The study shows that ______.
A. exercise when young can prevent memory loss when older in rats
B. physical activity is important for physical health
C. using the running wheels is of benefit to the rats’ growth
D. physical activity can prevent human’s Alzheimer’s symptoms
29. What does the underlined word “it” in Paragraph 2 refer to
A. Study B. development C. benefit D. exercise
30. How are Paragraph 3 and 4 mainly developed
A. By analyzing causes. B. By giving an example.
C. By showing differences. D. By describing the process.
31. What is the author’s attitude towards the animal study
A. Surprised. B. Critical C. Objective. D. Doubtful.
D
Rotterdam in the Netherlands has turned an unused canal (运河) into a wave pool, but it took years to become
a reality.
Edward van Dongen and Edwin van Viegen, two big surfers, had a dream in 2012 to create a place where they
could always surf in Rotterdam and didn’t have to travel to the North Sea, but not everyone liked their idea.
Neighbors said that it would be too noisy. Five years later, the government finally gave them the green light. Now,
12 years later, RiF010 opened in July 2024.
Man-made waves are not new. In fact, one of the earliest wave pools was built in Munich, Germany in 1929.
People moved up and down in the pool where the waves were made by a large paddle (桨). The first wave pool in
the US opened in Tempe, Arizona in 1969.
But wave pools are much higher tech today. Rotterdam’s wave pool uses a real canal that was once used for
shipping. To build it, they created a special underwater concrete (混凝土) basin that allowed the water to be safely
emptied without destroying the historic quays (码头). After the water was emptied, a wave-making mechanism (机
械装置) was put in, and the basin was filled with clean water from the Rotte River.
The surfing mechanism was developed by Surf Loch, a California company, to mimic the way waves form in
the ocean. This technology is powered by eight engines through wind power from the North Sea.
While the waves might not feel exactly like the ocean, they’ll still be exciting. Surfers can sign up for
one-hour sessions based on their skill level, with waves from 1.5 feet to 5 feet tall. RiF010 will have a beach house,
a cafe, a restaurant, and a surf shop, just like a real beach. But this beach is in the heart of the city!
32. Why did it take so long to build the wave pool in Rotterdam
A. Nearby people were against it.
B. No company wanted to take it on.
C. It didn’t have a suitable location.
D. It was thought to be useless.
33. What is paragraph 4 mainly about
A. The environmental effects of the wave pool.
B. The benefits of the wave pool.
C. The appearance of the wave pool.
D. The process of building the wave pool
34. What does the underlined word “mimic” in paragraph 5 mean
A. Check. B. Support. C. Copy. D. Improve.
35. What is the main idea of the text
A. Wave pools are becoming more popular.
B. Surfing is a popular sport in Rotterdam.
C. Building a wave pool in a city can be challenging.
D. Rotterdam has made a wave pool a reality.

online games or chatting with friends, which affects their study and sleep. What’s worse, there is some bad
information on the Internet. It may have a bad influence on young people’s minds.

Internet. For example, we can set a time limit of one hour a day for surfing the Internet after finishing homework.
Second, we need to learn to tell right from wrong. 39 Last but not least, we should use the Internet to
improve ourselves, not just for fun.
40 If we can control ourselves well and use it properly, the Internet will be our best friend and help us
live a better life.

My neighbor, Claire, is a friendly lady, likely in her late 70s. We often chat and I am glad to offer her a 56
(help) hand, such as carrying her groceries upstairs. One day she asked me 57 China is still like what it
was in the old comic The Adventures of Tintin, which describes China in the 1930s. Of course not. China is
changing so fast that I myself have found 58 hard to keep updated. Take Yinchuan for example: a city in
Ningxia once 59 (consider) “remote” now feels more modern than many European cities.
A Belgian potato expert I interviewed 60 (visit) China dozens of times in the past three decades and
has 61 balanced understanding of the country. He has taken many of his students to China, some of 62
have said the trips completely changed their view of the Asian nation, unlike what they heard in the Western media.
Fortunately, more Europeans can take advantage of 63 (China) visa-free policy to discover the
country and to see for themselves both the good and bad things there. The good news is that reservations for travel
to China are 64 the increase lately in several European countries.
Seeing is believing. 65 (understand) today’s China, one must look beyond old comics and breaking

Last Saturday, my best friend Lily and I went to the park near our community to walk our dogs. The sun was
shining brightly, the wind was soft and gentle, and birds were singing in the trees. We chatted happily about our
school life and interesting things in daily life, while watching our lovely dogs running and playing freely on the
green grass. It was such a relaxing and pleasant afternoon.
Suddenly, our dogs stopped by a big old tree and began barking loudly. They kept staring at the hollow (洞) in
the trunk, as if they had found something strange. We walked over curiously to see what was happening. To our
surprise, we found a tiny, shivering kitten stuck in the deep hole. It was so small and weak that it couldn’t climb out
at all. Its sad and weak meows (喵) touched our hearts deeply. We quickly bent down and tried to reach it with our
hands, but the hole was too deep. We just couldn’t touch it no matter how hard we tried.
We really wanted to call for help, but there was no one else around at that moment. The kitten became more
and more frightened. It kept scratching the inside of the trunk and crying even louder, which made us feel worried
and helpless. We looked at each other and both agreed that we couldn’t just leave the poor little cat there alone. So
we made up our minds to find a way to get it out safely. We ran quickly to a nearby small shop to borrow some
