Wake up, go to school or work, come home, sleep and then repeat. Life sometimes feels like a boring 1_.To make each day perfect, we might plan everything carefully, but this can also have taken the 2 out of life. If you want to get away from life's boredom, try adding some “small adventures” to your life.
These are fun, little activities that 3 you from your usual task. For example, you could try a new restaurant, walk around in a bookstore with no plan, or join a sports club just because it sounds 4 .Instead of following the same path every day, you can find fun ways to 5 your daily routine and bring more joy to your life.
The best part is that these small adventures are all about 6 ,not about being the best. It's about doing something different or trying something new. You get to 7_what they are. They can be whatever you want them to be. There are no fixed 8 —they can be as simple as visiting a new park or as exciting as taking a sudden trip.
Some people enjoy last-minute decisions, while others prefer to 9 ahead for something new. Whatever works for you, the goal is the same: to try something new and 10 enjoy yourself. It's a wonderful way to make your daily cycle feel much more lively.

Valerie Hodge is an English teacher in Georgia. One day at school, her first-aid skills made her a hero.
It happened after lunch. Ms. Hodge saw a student, Dalton, in trouble. The boy was holding his throat and couldn’t breathe. His face was turning blue. Dalton had been eating a burger. "I felt a soreness in my throat, and I couldn't breathe," he later said.
Ms.Hodge acted immediately. While working in college, She had learned a first-aid method to save people who can't breathe because food is stuck. Without thinking, she used it on Dalton. Seconds later, the food was out, and Dalton could breathe again.
"I thought I was going to die...it was scary," Dalton remembered. “I'm really thankful. She saved my life.”
Dalton's mother, Courtney, was deeply thankful. “She didn't think twice. A situation like that can turn tragic in a second. I'm so glad she was there," she said.
Ms.Hodge was humble(谦虚的)about it. "I didn’t really even think, I just acted. I saw a student who needed help and did what I could."

Every year, many birds travel a long way along the East Asian-Australasian Flyway. Shenzhen Bay is a key stop in the middle where birds rest and eat before continuing their long journey.
Recently, a local citizen suggested adding more streetlights to Shenzhen Bay Park for safety. However, the park said no. Why Because brighter lights would do harm to the birds.
The park has taken some special steps to protect them. First, the lights are dimmed(调暗)at night. They use a warm white light, not a cold one, because it attracts fewer insects. This is good for birds that eat insects. The lights are also designed to shine only on the ground, not up into the sky. After 11 pm, most lights near the most important habitat are turned off to give the birds a quiet place to rest.
These actions help the birds keep their natural routines and save energy for their long journey. The park's decision did not cause complaints. Instead, many people online praised it. One user wrote, “Shenzhen is friendly to small animals. This is true city warmth.”
Shenzhen's practice shows that a modern city can protect wildlife in a wise way. By dimming the lights, the city tells us clearly: we share this home with nature.

Scientists have made some of the smallest robots in the world. They are smaller than a grain of salt. But they have a tiny computer inside and can swim in water on their own.
Building such small robots was hard. To power the robot, scientists chose to use a solar panel(嵌板),which allows a robot to run for months, powered only by light. But it also meant that left little space for other parts.
The robots have a very small computer that can be programmed and even has a memory. Once the robots are programmed, they can move by themselves.
Making the robots swim was another challenge —here's how they manage it. The robots create a small electric field. This makes the water move around them, then the water carries the robot forward.
What can these robots do For one thing, they can feel how warm or cold the water is. They can also be programmed to swim toward warmer places.
The scientists also found a creative way for the robots to “talk”. The robots share information by moving in special ways. For example, after checking the temperature, a robot might do a little dance. Scientists watch through a microscope and understand the dance to get the information. "It's very similar to how honey bees communicate with each other," said one scientist.
The scientists say this is just the beginning. They believe these robots could do many useful things in the future. One day, similar robots might check the health of cells(细胞)in the human body. Although each robot is very small, they can work together to do bigger jobs.
( )21.What problem did scientists meet when using solar panels
A.The robots had little space for other parts.
B.The robots could only run for a short tine.
C.The solar panels couldn’t work without light.
D.The solar panels were too heavy for the robots.
( )22.How do the robots move forward in water
A.They swim by moving their tiny legs.
B.They use solar energy to push water away.
C.They create a special field to pull in water.
D.They are pushed forward by the moving water.
( )23.Why does the writer mention honey bees in the sixth paragraph
A.To explain how small the robots are.
B.To tell how the robots learn from honey bees.
C.To show that bees are smarter than the robots.
D.To help understand how the robots communicate.
( )24.What does the last paragraph mainly talk about
A.Uses of the robots in the future.
B.Communication between the robots.
C.Reports on new designs of the robots.
D.Ways of the robots working in groups.
( )25.What's the best title for the passage
A.Bees &Robots B.Light &Robots
C.Tiny Robots,Big Future D.Swimming Robots,Solar Power

F.This task makes the part of the brain that controls attention active.
Have you ever felt stressed and wanted a simple way to relax Recently ,a new trend(趋势)called "ColourWalk" has become popular among young people.26
ColourWalk requires no special preparation. The rules are very simple: before you go out, pick a colour to focus on. Then, as you walk through the streets, your only task is to notice and collect everything in that colour. Many people find that this “walking with a purpose” helps them take a break from overthinking. 27
So, why is this simple activity so powerful According to experts, the key difference between ColourWalk and a regular walk is the “colour-collecting” ask. 28 By actively choosing where to direct your attention, you can step back from worries and return to the present moment.
29 Seeing green might make you think of grass and forests, while blue reminds you of the sky and sea. These gentle connections can bring a strong sense of healing(治愈).
There are no strict rules for ColourWalk. You can choose any colour, like pink, red, or purple. You can do it alone or with a friend. 30 It's about slowing down and noticing the beauty we usually miss. In our busy days, taking just 20 minutes to focus on your feelings and the colours around you is a wonderful form of self-care.
