Make a Chain Story
Our class is going to create a class story collection called “Surviving the Wild”.
In this task, you are going to:
work in groups;
write a chain story about a natural disaster;
share them with other classes.
Activity 1: Look and predict
What natural disaster happened
Activity 2: Read and answer
Who was in the story
When did the story happen
Where were they
What natural disaster did they face
What were they doing when the disaster started
Activity 3: Read and fill

Activity 4: Choose and think
Share your predictions with your group.
What happened next (see, hear, smell...)
What did you do during and after the disaster

Activity 5: Build the story
Each member adds one or two sentences in turn.
Use simple past and past continuous.
Use when or while to connect actions.
Keep the story logical and exciting.
“Look!” my brother shouted. “I can see the fire over there!”
I was already calling 911 while my dad looked for a safe way down.
The smoke was getting thicker when we heard a helicopter in the distance.
