At that time,Tom noticed my silence.He sat down beside me and gently asked why I had
stopped handing in my drawings.After a moment of hesitation,I admitted my fear of making
mistakes and my belief that I was not talented enough.Instead of laughing,Tom shared his own
early sketches,which were full of crossed-out lines and awkward shapes."I was scared too,"he said.
"but drawing improves only when you keep trying."His honesty made me feel understood for the
first time
Slowly,with Tom s help,my fear faded(逐渐消失).With his guidance,I began to notice real
