But in China, I can hang out around after midnight without fear (恐惧). Police are everywhere in the street. Once, I left my phone on a park seat. When I went back, it was still there!
Hey! I’m John from Toronto and had an amazing time. In Chengdu, the panda center was more interesting than any other part here. Watching pandas play and eat bamboo was so much fun. I also visited Jinli Old Street, the snacks there looked like red oil wonton (馄饨). The slow life made me feel so relaxed.
I’m Sandy from Canberra, and I love Chinese food very much. In Xi’an, I had the mouth-watering roujiamo. The crispy bread is filled with soft and tasty meat and it was so delicious. Once, there was a farmer growing crops (庄稼) very hard and there was a big tree stump (树桩) in the field. One day, he saw a rabbit run into the stump and die accidentally (意外地) . The farmer took the rabbit home and cooked a delicious meal. That night he thought, “There is no need to work so hard. I just need to wait by the tree stump and pick up the rabbit that runs into it.” So he stopped farming, and just sat by the tree stump waiting for another rabbit to run into it. He waited and waited. Crops died and his field became waste. But never did he see another rabbit run into the tree stump.
People in the village laughed at him for his foolish behaviour (行为) . They thought he took the accident for the inevitable (必然的) . In the story, this farmer wanted to live a better life by hoping for having unexpected (出乎意料的) good luck, but he was too lazy. No one can get anything if he doesn’t work hard.
We should keep in mind that it is a waste of time when we wait for something that only happens accidentally in our life.

What do you like to do to spend your free time Why not hang out with friends It is a good idea to go hiking in a forest. What will you do if you can’t find anyone around you Try to do something to help yourself get out of such danger.
When you are in the forest with friends, keep staying with them. If you don’t, you may get lost. You have to be with nobody else but yourself. How terrible! If you get lost, stay where you are. This is what you should do. Don’t try to find your friends. Let them find you. You can help them find you by staying in one place.
There is another way to help your friends or other people to find you. You can shout three times. Stop. Then shout three times again. It means a call for help. If no one comes out, keep on shouting. Always three times together. When others hear you, they will give you one fewer shout back. It means an answer to a call for help.
If you don’t think that you will get help before night comes, try to build a little house with branches (树枝) . Make yourself a bed with leaves and grass. Make some fire near you. That can help get rid of the awful change of the temperature (温度) in the forest, so you don’t have to feel cold at night. Fire can also stop some dangerous wild animals getting near you.
When you need some water, you have to leave your little branch house to look for it. Don’t just walk away. Pick some small branches and drop them as you walk so you can go back again easily.
When you are lost, the most important thing to do is to keep calm (冷静) and try your best to ask for help or help yourself. Just remember these ways and follow them.
