阅读下列短文,从每题所给的 A、B、C、D四个选项中选出最佳选项。

Emergencies can happen anytime, so being prepared for a home first aid kit is important for your family.
Having a proper one in your home is an easy but necessary part of good emergency preparation.
Pick a good container
One good choice is a large translucent plastic container, which makes it easy to see the materials inside.
Lunchboxes are also another good choice. Basically, if it’s big enough, and at least somewhat water resistant, it can
make a good container. Regardless of your container choice, it should be easy to recognize, so write “FIRST AID”
on it with a marker.
Teach your family about the kit
For younger children who shouldn’t use the items in the kit, teach them where it’s located, so they could show
a visitor, relative or babysitter. For older children and adults, instruct them on how to use the items in it. Use a first
aid instruction booklet, like those available from the American Red Cross for guidance and place a booklet in the
kit for reference.
Keep your kit up - to - date
No one wants to fetch a first aid kit and find the bandage box empty or the pain relievers expired (过期了的).
Keep track of supply amounts and expiration dates (保质期) regularly.
Create a checklist in the kit
Record every item on a sheet of paper and keep it in the kit. Besides, record the amounts of the items and
expiration dates next to the listed items on the checklist that you include in your kit. In this way, anyone who wants
to reach the kit can immediately know what it includes and doesn’t include. Also, they can be clear whether the
items can be used.
21. Which is close to the meaning of the underlined word “translucent”
A. Wide. B. Advanced. C. Clear. D. Strong.
22. What should the young children be told about the home first aid kit
A. How to use the items. B. What it contains.
C. When to fetch it. D. Where to place it.
23. Why should the home first aid kit be examined regularly
A. To make it clean and tidy. B. To make sure it’s available.
C. To be familiar with the items. D. To learn to deal with emergencies.

China is a noodle paradise (天堂). The home of wheaten food (面食) across the world is China, and the home
of wheaten food in China is Shanxi Province. As an American student, my first experience with noodles was in
Shanxi when I was an exchange student.
Everyone knows noodles are the king of Shanxi food. There are about 300 kinds of noodles. Among them, my
favorite is the sliced noodles. You can eat a bowl of sliced noodles in almost every place of China. The sliced
noodles are one of the top five noodles in China, with the other four being Hubei’s hot-and-dry noodles, Sichuan’s
dandan noodles, Beijing’s fried sauce noodles and Henan’s stewed noodles.
Once in a restaurant, I ordered sliced noodles and I was lucky to see how the cook made them from the
window of the kitchen. I felt really surprised to see the cook shave (削) the noodles so quickly! When I tasted the
noodles for the first time, I felt super happy.
When I first learned to make sliced noodles, the more I practiced, the harder it seemed. But later, when I got
the angle right, it became a lot easier. In fact, you need a lot of skills if you want to cook them. The first thing you
need to do is to make a dough (面团). After that, let your dough rest for 5 to 10 minutes. Then cut the noodles by
running the knife up and down. The most difficult part is getting the right angle between the knife and the dough.
Finally, let them cook in the hot water for 5 minutes.
The reason why people like sliced noodles is that they have a special taste. Also, the way to make them is an
art form that takes years of practice.
24. Where are hot-and-dry noodles from
A. Shanxi. B. Sichuan. C. Hubei. D. Henan.
25. How did the author feel when he first tasted sliced noodles
A. Glad. B. Surprised. C. Upset. D. Interested.
26. What do we know about the author
A. He is a Chinese student who studies in America.
B. His first experience with noodles was in Sichuan.
C. It’s easy for him to learn how to cook sliced noodles.
D. Among all noodles in Shanxi food, sliced noodles are his favorite.
27. What is the first step to make sliced noodles
A. Cook the noodles in the hot water for 5 minutes.
B. Make a dough.
C. Cut the noodles by running the knife up and down.
D. Let the dough rest for 5 to 10 minutes.

A squatting Terracotta Warrior (蹲着的兵马俑), down on one knee, becomes a trove (宝库) of knowledge due
to Wang Yu’s thought-provoking (引人深思的) explanation.
“It’s a top treasure at the Emperor Qinshihuang’s Mausoleum Site Museum, and called a ‘star of fortune’,”
said the tour guide from Xi’an, Shaanxi province.
Then, facing confused-but-passionate gazes (目光 ), the young woman in her 20s goes on to explain how it
survived the test of time, unlike countless Terracotta Warriors which were turned into fragments (碎片 ). Her
interesting explanation often wins a wave of applause from tourists.
Since Wang set up an account on Douyin in November 2021, she usually spends three hours in the morning
livestreaming tours in the city, then receives group travelers in the afternoon.
“Daily numbers peaked at 20,000 ... and more than 70 percent of them are newcomers on a daily basis,” Wang
told China Daily.
In her eyes, when tourists visit the Emperor Qinshihuang’s Mausoleum Site Museum and the city, they want
to get a deeper understanding of Chinese culture and obtain a sense of cultural pride, according to Xinhua News
Agency.
“Our country has put a premium on (重视) traditional culture, and a tour guide acts like a bridge connecting it
to the public,” Wang said.
To achieve this goal, Wang makes sure not to miss any small details while explaining to the tourists. For
example, when introducing the Terracotta Warriors, she shares knowledge of the fine lines around the Terracotta
Warriors’ eyes, on their palms and the bottom of their feet, conveying the peerless (无可匹敌的) craftsmanship of
ancient times.
Her interesting explanations and young vitality have won her praise from both tourists and online viewers. In
response, Wang told Xinhua, “I will continue to learn and improve myself, strive (努力) to explore the historical
and cultural heritages and continue to tell China’s stories well.”
28. What often wins Wang Yu applause from her audience
A. Her ability to answer difficult questions.
B. Her knowledge of the details of each Terracotta Warrior.
C. Her fascinating explanation of historical sites.
D. Her great skill in making ancient history understandable.
29. What can be inferred about Wang
A. She prioritizes conducting in-person tours.
B. She has been using Douyin for seven years.
C. She often does livestreaming in the evening.
D. She usually serves group tourists.
30. In Wang’s opinion, what role does a tour guide play
A. A guardian of cultural heritage. B. A transmitter of cultural pride.
C. A conveyor of traditional values. D. A preserver of ancient craftsmanship.
31. What is Wang’s plan for the future
A. Exploring more tourist attractions in other cities.
B. Establishing an online platform for cultural education.
C. Expanding her livestreaming to international audiences.
D. Enhancing her storytelling skills and historical knowledge.

“Red tourism”, a new form of travel where people visit important historical sites and monuments (纪念碑). It
has improved the development of the tourism industry in summer. And red tourism becomes more popular during
the National Day Golden Week holiday.
Ticket bookings for red tourism sites in June increased by five times with local and short trips to red tourism
sites being the choice of about 88 percent of such tourists. And the search for the term “red tourism” on Mafengwo,
a Chinese travel service and social-networking platform (平台 ), increased by 300 percent during the summer
holidays.
Red tourism is not only about the joy of visiting a new place and enjoying the wonderful sights. It is also about
gaining knowledge about history and being inspired by the stories of the people who gave their lives to the
founding of the People’s Republic in 1949 and worked for the happiness of the Chinese people. By rediscovering
history and passing on the stories of the Chinese revolution and its heroes to the next generations, people can lift
their spirits.
Red tourism can also be used as an opportunity to develop some areas because most of the red tourism sites
are in the countryside. It can raise the incomes of local people. Since red tourism creates jobs and helps increase
farmers’ incomes, it contributes to local economic (经济的) development.
Data show that this year, there are about 2 billion tourists visiting red tourism sites, and its market size nearly
reaches 1 trillion. Yet red tourism faces some developmental problems, mainly because some local government
officials have failed to make the best use of red tourism resources (资源) for local development.
32. What can we know about red tourism
A. It has brought life to tourism.
B. It is not popular with the young.
C. It is a traditional form of tourism.
D. It is about visiting beautiful scenery.
33. Why does the author list the numbers in Paragraph 2
A. To raise concern. B. To prove his idea.
C. To explain the story. D. To introduce a platform.
34. What is the advantage of red tourism for countryside
A. Local people can make more money.
B. It can help improve farming equipment.
C. It can offer job opportunities to visitors.
D. Local people can receive much help from society.
35. What will be mentioned in the following paragraphs
A. More and more people will choose red tourism.
B. Many travel companies will benefit from red tourism.
C. Some measures should be taken to solve problems.
D. More red tourism sites should be open to the public.

Tips for healthy eating
Eating a healthy, balanced diet is an important part of maintaining good health, and can help you feel your best.
36
Base your meals on starch (含淀粉的) foods. Starch foods include potatoes, cereals, rice and bread. 37

and vegetables cooked into dishes also count.

of the salt we eat is already in the food we buy, such as breakfast cereals, soups, breads and sauces. 39 Use
food labels to help you cut down.
Get active and have a healthy weight. Eating a healthy, balanced diet plays an important part in maintaining
a healthy weight. Being overweight can lead to heart disease. Being underweight could also affect your health.
40 Some people don’t have breakfast because they think it will help them lose weight. In fact, research
shows that eating breakfast can help people control their weight. A healthy breakfast is an important part of a
balanced diet, and provides some of the vitamins
and minerals we need for good health.
A. Don’t skip breakfast.
B. Cut down on fat and sugar.
C. Just follow these tips to get started.

第二节 读后续写(满分 25分)
阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。
One sunny afternoon my elder brother Ricky and I were sitting in the back seat of my dad’s black truck. We
were excited! Our first time to Six Flags (六旗游乐园 )! While backing out of our driveway, I rolled down the
window.
The drive to Six Flags wasn’t long since we lived near the freeway. As we passed the bridge, I knew we were
getting close. As we sat in the car, I was wearing a pink T-shirt with leggings. I had tied my hair into a braid. My
brother was wearing a black T-shirt with shorts on. Ricky was eleven and I was eight years old. “Liz, we’re finally
getting to Six Flags!” he told me.
We got off the freeway and entered the parking lot. It took us about twenty minutes to find parking. As we
walked to the park, I remembered that there was a Christmas specially planned for that day. I could smell popcorn
and hear people screaming on roller coasters (过山车). Also I saw an area with snow that looked like shaved ice.
My dad said, “Let’s go to the gift shop first.” Ricky and I looked at all the toys. Our eyes looked like big snow
balls. Our dad said we could only get one thing. We ran to the area with all the beautiful toys. I picked out my
favorite, Tweety Bird. When Ricky and I turned back around, we couldn’t see our dad anymore.
Ricky said, “Hold my hand and stay close.” I was so scared that my face looked like a tomato. We had no
phone to contact our dad, so we stayed where we were. Ten minutes later we saw a guy with the same clothing as
our dad. We ran to him, but it turned out that his face looked nothing like our dad’s.
注意:1.续写词数应为 150左右;2.请按如下格式在相应位置作答。
“Shouldn’t we go and try to find Dad ” I suggested.

1. 开头:自我介绍(非必须) +点明倡议背景,指出班级存在的不良饮食习惯与危害;
2. 主体:给出 2-3条具体可落地的健康饮食建议;
3. 结尾:结合中华传统饮食智慧升华,发出行动倡议。
Dear classmates,
Recently, I find many of us have bad eating habits: some are picky eaters, some drink too many sugary drinks, and
others skip meals. These habits not only harm physical health but also affect our study.
To improve this, I have three suggestions. First of all, have a balanced diet by eating more vegetables, fruits and
whole grains. Besides, cut out sugary drinks because they are full of empty calories. Eating breakfast regularly not only
replenishes energy but also improves concentration. Last but not least, avoid eating too fast—chew slowly to help digestion.
The more we stick to a healthy diet, the stronger our bodies will become.
In conclusion, healthy eating is not just a habit, but a way of loving ourselves and inheriting culture. Let’s take actions
now!
Yours sincerely,
Li Hua
最后一段另一个版本:
To sum up, as an old saying goes eat moderately and live regularly. May this cultural heritage hidden in daily meals
nourish our bodies and souls. let’s honor tradition and embrace the future with a healthy lifestyle.

more lost if we walked around. But soon he calmed down, remembering Dad had been talking about the big roller coasters
nonstop on the drive. He held my hand tightly, and we walked to the information desk together. The kind worker made a
broadcast for us, and told us Dad would probably look for us near the roller coasters.
Then we went to the roller coasters. Through the crowd, we spotted Dad at once, walking back and forth anxiously,
his face pale with worry. We yelled and ran straight to him, throwing ourselves into his arms. Dad hugged us tightly, tears
in his eyes, saying he had been broadcasting for us too. We apologized for running off, and Dad promised to keep an eye on
us all the time. At last, we started our happy trip in the park, holding Dad’s hands firmly.

little scared, imagining where my dad could be and wondering if I would see him again. A couple of minutes later, my dad
appeared, worried. At the sight of us, he was in relief. I ran to my dad and hugged him as hard as I could.
Then we went to the roller coasters. When it slowly moved, my stomach felt like it had a thousand butterflies in it, but
gradually I became used to it. As it sped up, people screamed loudly all the time. Certainly I was also thrilled. Sometimes I
couldn’t open my eyes as it rushed up and down. At this time my heart seemed to jump out of my breast. The ride was so
adventurous that I grasped the safety belt firmly. Sweat rolled down my face. It was real fun to have a ride, and I couldn’t
wait to have a try again.
