Glad to hear that you’re interested in Chinese, I’m writing to offer you some advice on how to learn Chinese.
An increasing number of people around the world take a fancy to learning Chinese mainly for two reasons. First of all, being knowledgeable about Chinese provides more job opportunities, especially in many countries along Silk Road under the guidance of China’s Belt and Road Initiative. In addition, learning Chinese makes wonderful Chinese history and culture accessible to people worldwide. As to how to learn Chinese effectively,you can try following suggestions. First, it is important to take a Chinese course，as you’ll be able to learn from the teacher and practice with your fellow students.Besides，it should be a good idea to learn Chinese words learn by watching TV and reading newspapers and magazines in Chinese.

题目2：汉语比赛活动报道
假定你是李华，是你校报的记者。上周六你校学生会主办了一场汉语经典作品朗诵比赛。请你以“A Chinese Recitation Competition”为题写一篇报道，内容包括：
参赛选手； 2.比赛过程； 3.活动意义。
A Chinese Recitation Competition
As is scheduled, our school held the Chinese Classic Recitation at the lecture hall with the intention of encouraging us students to appreciate Chinese culture last Saturday.
Representatives from each class took an active part in the competition. Participants were required to prepare a Chinese classic to recite within 5 minutes. As to classical works, they had a preference for poems. At last, competitors who were good at fluency, voice control and emotional expression reached the final.
All teachers and students thought highly of this activity, for it offered a wonderful opportunity for us to have a better understanding of Chinese classics and broaden our minds.

Dear David,
I feel quite sorry to hear that your your confusion about personal communication and I’d like to offer you some advice.写信背景
You can try following tips to sharpen your communication skills. First and foremost, you need to know with whom you are communicating, based on which you can determine the proper words and style to use.（1.了解对方情况）Furthermore, body language should never be ignored during the conversation, as it clearly supports the message you want to deliver（2.肢体语言）. Last but not least, show your empathy and sympathy by putting yourself in others’ shoes and looking at the situation from their perspective.（3.感同身受，同理心）
Hopefully, by practising effective communication, your relationships with people around you will become more positive and productive.
