申请信是指写信人就某一个职位或某一个项目向收信人提出请求的信件。常考的话题有申请成为志愿者、加入某俱乐部/学生会或参加夏令营、游学项目等。申请信的语言属于正式用语，用词要简洁准确，语气礼貌自信，所给信息要具有可信度。通常包括三部分内容：
假定你是李华，从互联网上得知一个国际中学生组织将在新加坡举办夏令营（summer camp），欢迎各国学生参加。请你写信申请参加。内容主要包括：
1.自我介绍（包括英语能力）；
2.参加意图（介绍中国、了解其他国家）；
