at the World Skills Competition in Lyon, France, put the national flag proudly over his shoulders.
Chen graduated from the Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen in 2020, where he studied
communications engineering. Chen gave up several job offers from big companies. He chose to
become a teacher at the Shenzhen Institute of Information Technology.
“I was born and raised in a small village in Fuzhou, Jiangxi Province. And I received a lot of
help from my teachers. I enjoy sharing knowledge with other people, so I made up my mind to be a
teacher when I graduated,” he said.
When preparing for the World Skills Competition, Chen’s main goal was to become more
confident, especially since he would be facing students much younger than him.
Chen was lucky to compete in France before turning 25. It was the oldest age for this event. He
took no holidays or weekends during his training period. He only spent a few days celebrating the

争对手), Chen treasured the opportunity (机会) to compete.
The competition was hard and stressful, with strong competitors from other countries. Nobody
could guess the winner until the very last second. But Chen’s efforts finally paid off.

Running is good exercise, but some people often say, “Running is bad for the knees.” Is that
true
Running isn’t bad for the knees as long as people do it in the right way. A study found out that
runners had fewer knee problems than walkers. Why Running helps build up muscles and cartilage
(肌肉和软骨) around the knee joint (关节) .
Another study followed marathon (马拉松) runners before and after their races. The result was
pretty surprising: the runners’ knee cartilage was stronger after the race, and they had a lower chance
of developing joint problems than those who didn’t run at all.
Actually, running itself isn’t bad for our knees, but if we don’t do it right, it can cause problems.
First, run with bad form. Taking too big steps or letting knees bend inward (向内弯曲) are both bad
for the knees. Second, overuse the knees. Running too much, too fast, or without rest can cause knee
problems. Third, run on hard ground. It’s bad for the knees, especially if we’re doing long runs or
running very fast.
To keep our knees healthy while running, we just need to train smart. Small changes in our
running habits can make a big difference.
66.What did the second study show
A.People who never ran had healthier knees.
B.Running could make the knee cartilage stronger.
C.Training was very important for marathon runners.
D.Runners had a higher chance of developing joint problems.
67.What is the main idea of Paragraph 4
试卷第 1页,共 3页
A.The causes of knee problems. B.Suggestions for long runs.
C.Ways of warming up before running. D.The effects of running on knee health.
68.What will the writer probably talk about next
A.The good points of running. B.The best time for running.
C.Common running mistakes we make. D.Suggestions for smart training in running.

Bright lights shone in a small studio as the names of famous art groups appeared on the screen.
The show did not happen in a big theater. Instead, it was livestreamed online so people could watch it
on their phones.
Livestreamed performances are becoming more and more popular. Since 2023, millions of
shows have been put online, with hundreds of performances every day. The digital stage now helps
artists reach viewers all over China, from big cities to small villages.
Wu Zhao, a leader from the national opera house, said that livestreaming gives artists new
chances to connect with people. It allows many more viewers to enjoy opera anytime they want.
Opera is a traditional art that has music, acting, and beautiful costumes. In the past, it was not
easy for many people to watch or understand. But in 2024, the opera house joined a popular
short-video platform and started singing well-known songs in a more modern way. This helped more
young people enjoy classical art.
By 2025, the opera house had held over 2,600 livestreams, with more than 30 million views in
total. Some special shows even shared behind-the-scenes stories and short previews. One livestream
drew more than 30,000 people watching at the same time.
Many viewers said after watching, “Opera is not hard to understand—it’s very touching.”
69.How does the writer start the text
A.By raising questions. B.By listing numbers.
C.By creating a situation. D.By comparing two shows.
70.What can we infer from the text
A.Livestreaming makes opera easier for artists to perform.
B.Livestreaming helps opera reach more people across China.

D.Few young people are interested in opera online.

cars interested me. I often studied my grandpa’s old car. But mom was tired of me always talking

problem. I offered to help. Soon, I found a tool and fixed it. In about ten minutes, the bus was fine.
Everyone praised me. That day changed everything. I realized I could do something useful. After
school, I started my own car repair business. Now, I’m very successful.

called “soji”, teaches responsibility and respect for shared spaces.
Many schools in the United Kingdom require students to wear uniforms. The goal is to create a
sense of fair.
In some schools in Australia, there is a “no hat, no play” rule. If a student forgets their sun hat,
they cannot play outside during break time. This rule helps protect children from the strong sun.
In France, schools don’t allow students to use mobile phones inside the building. This helps them
study better in class and talk more with their friends.
These rules, though different, aim to create safe and good learning environments.
