Analysis of the target students
Strengths： 1.学 生 在 学 习 本 课 前 ， 完 成 了 本 单 元 Topic Talk~Lesson2 的学习，同时预习了本课中的生词。 2.学生已经掌握了一些的有关“描述 ”、“评价 ”的词汇和句型，对于单词后缀也有一定的了解。 3.学生初步掌握了一些文本解读和信息提取方法，如 structure map; table。 Weaknesses： 1. 大部分学生的单词发音不够准确，对新词汇和句型的接受速度较慢，课堂发言不积极。 2.学生对人物和事件的分析、评价能力不是很全面，大多只停留在表面，对于其背后传递的知识、态度、意义鲜有思考。
Opportunities： 教师可以通过深挖文本，尽可能多的为学生创造语言学习条件，同时结合大单元教学主题，让学生在预测和交流进行语言学习，提高学生的思维品质和语言表达能力。 Threats： 有些学生可能会在课前预习、课中小组活动和课后作业的完成度上“划水”。
