一、单元主题
本单元主题:神奇的自然。
该主题范畴:“人与自然”,涉及“不同地区的生态特征与自然景观”和“热爱与敬畏自然,与自然和谐共生”。
二、单元教学目标
本单元学习后,学生能够制作一张关于自然奇观的海报:
运用本单元所学词汇及表达方式来谈论自然景观;
运用比较级和最高级来描述自然景观;
解释自然界的重要性。
三、分课时教学设计
第一课时Starting out
1.课时教学目标
通过本课时学习,学生能够:
(1)了解关于自然的知识,体会自然之美,对单元主题进行初步的思考;
(2)运用所学语言说出与自然景观相关的诗句并表达自己最喜欢的自然景观。
2.核心词汇

了解关于自然的知识,体会自然之美,对单元主题进行初步的思考。 Learning objective 学生读标题并理解意思,引入本单元主题,了解本单元的学习内容和目标。 Lead-in 学生观看视频,思考并回答问题:What is the video about ,了解世界十大奇观。 学生看图并说出图片里奇观,了解更多自然奇观。 学生看图后,回答问题:What do they make you feel What comes to your mind when you see them 询问李白,杜甫和布莱恩看到奇观会说什么,从而引出可以形容奇观的古诗。 根据学生的回答情况,观察其能否积极参与互动和交流。 根据学生的完成情况,评价学生能否了解关于自然的知识,体会自然之美,初步思考单元主题意义。
运用所学语言说出与自然景观相关的诗句并表达自己最喜欢的自然景观。 Starting out 1.学生欣赏教材活动2的诗词,问答问题:What in nature does it describe What is special about the natural wonder Can you think of other famous works describing natural wonders 2.学生观看视频,回答问题:What facts about nature are mentioned in the video 3. 结合所学知识和了解的奇观,向同学介绍:Which one do you find the most interesting Useful expression: The nature I want to introduce is ... It’s in China/Africa ... I think it’s interesting/amazing/wonderful ... It’s the longest/lowest/hottest ... It makes me feel ... ... Example: The nature I want to introduce is the aurora, it’s in the Arctic(北极) and the Antactic(南极). I think it’s amazing, it’s the most beautiful nature in the world. It makes me feel the beauty of the nature. 根据学生的回答情况,观察其能否积极参与互动和交流。 根据学生的回答情况,确认是否了解自然奇观的知识。 根据学生介绍清空,确认是否能运用所学知识表达自己的观点。
