教材分析 What: This text belongs to the thematic theme of“human and society—art”. It narrates the life story of Beethoven, focusing on the creation and premiere of Symphony No.9 in D Minor. How: This text is extracted from a biography and organized in time order.The first paragraph is a brief introduction of Beethoven, including his life and achievements.The rest of the text presents the artistic charm of Symphony No.9 in D Minor through the comparison and changes in the emotions. When finishing the symphony, Beethoven “sat back at his chair and smiled”, “proudly signed his name, tried to imagine ...”, which shows Beethoven’s joy and pride at the completion of the composition. Before the performance, “tense atmosphere at the back stage” and “Beethoven was afraid that ...” show how Beethoven cared about his music. During the performance, “the audience applaud loudly”,”Beethoven waved his arms wildly”,”Umlauf skillfully guided the orchestra” and “the audience jumped to their feet ...” show Beethoven’s dedication and the audience’s immersion. After the performance, “got a surprise...shocked” further stresses the success of the performance and the talent of Beethoven. Why: By learning this text, students will fully experience the charm of music and admire musical geniuses like Beethoven, who, despite being deaf, created one of the greatest works in the world. Besides, students will have a better understanding of the precious qualities and attitudes of Beethoven like his dedication to music and perseverance facing setbacks in life.
学情分析 The target students are Senior One students from an average class. The students’ English learning situation is as follows. 1. In the previous part of this unit, the students appreciated two main art forms, painting and Peking Opera, and were full of strong interest in learning more about the theme of art. They realized the importance of art for their own development and life. 2.The sub theme of this text is about music, and the protagonist is the famous musical genius Beethoven. Students have a certain understanding of the background knowledge, which is beneficial for understanding the text.

教学反思 1. 本节课应用了智慧课堂和平板电脑进行教学，教学过程中应用了视频， PPT，投屏，讨论等多种互动功能，学生课堂参与度高，提高了学生对英语学习的兴趣，提高了课堂效率。 2. 本节课重点在于锻炼学生绘制graphic organizer梳理文章并进行口头输出，该环节用时较多，效果也较好。 3. 本节课不足之处在于迁移创新环节没有留足时间，对文本的挖掘不够深入 。
