Kindness — key to world’s happiness
On 20 March, the yearly World Happiness Report came out to mark International Day of Happiness — a day that celebrates the things that make people feel happy. The event was founded in 2012 by the United Nations (UN), a group made up of most of the world’s countries that works to promote (促进) peace. The report gathers information about people’s wellbeing from more than 140 countries and explores the things that make people feel good, such as generosity (慷慨) and support from family and friends. The information is then studied and sorted by experts before the report is published (出版) by the University of Oxford’s Wellbeing Research Centre in England.
This year’s report showed the importance of kindness. As part of the study, people deliberately (故意地) “lost” their wallets (钱包) to see how many were given back. About twice as many wallets were returned than people had expected, making both the finder and wallet-owner happier. Every year, the study ranks the world’s happiest countries. Finland topped the list for the eighth year in a row. Finland has a strong welfare system (社会保障体系) and good chance to get close to nature. Costa Rica and Mexico appeared in the top 10 for the first time but the UK and the US both came lower than usual — the UK was 23rd and the US was 24th.

Should AI Be in Schools
AI is popular in our daily life. More and more students start to use it to help with their study. But should students really use AI at school People have different ideas about this question.
The Good Sides
AI can help students in many ways. It can help language learners by making articles easier or harder according to (根据) their ability. It can also help with their writing. AI can offer new ideas and help students keep writing when they have no thoughts (想法). AI also saves teachers a lot of time. They can use it to make teaching plans and find useful class exercises. It makes teachers’ work much easier.
The Bad Sides
As we know, most students have the ability to think by themselves. When students use AI to get answers easily, they do not use their own mind. Gradually (逐渐地), they can’t think by themselves or come up with (想出) new ideas by themselves.
Social Risks
Another problem is about making friends. Chatbots always agree with you, but real friends often have different ideas. If students only talk to AI, they may not learn how to get on well with people.
What Should We Do
We should not ban (禁止) AI from schools. Instead, teaching students the right use of AI is very important for the school. We should care more about students’ love for learning, not only their exam results.
AI is popular in our life. AI can be helpful for both teachers and students. For students, it can help with their study. For teachers, it can help them 23 and it also makes their work much easier. But too much use may make students 24 to think by themselves and think of new ideas. Besides, if students always talk with AI instead of people, 25 for them to know how to get along with people. In a word, 26 in the right way instead of just banning it.
