For many people, our closest encounter (相遇) with wild animals is at a zoo. Zoos let us see amazing animals like lions, tigers, and even small lizards up close. It’s fun and educational, but is it really the best place for the animals
In the past, people could only see wild animals as stuffed displays (标本) in museums. Later, explorers caught live animals and showed them in menageries (小型动物园), which were early zoos. Back then, people didn’t care much about the animals’ well-being. Today’s zoos are different. They now provide bigger spaces and try to make the animals’ homes look like their natural environments.
Some people think it’s cruel to keep animals in cages just for entertainment. However, zoos argue that they help educate people about wildlife conservation. In the UK, a law passed in 1981 requires zoos to teach visitors about conservation. Many zoos also help support and fund programs to protect wildlife.
Zoos often say they are important for saving endangered species that could become extinct because of climate change. Robert Young, a professor of conservation, said many species would not live without zoos. For example, Chester Zoo in the UK helped save the golden skiffia fish from disappearing.
As the debate about zoos continues, new technologies like virtual reality may offer different ways to experience wildlife.

Ask for help
Think about it, have you ever seen an ant move something too big by itself That never happens. When a load (负荷) is too big, the ant signals (发信号) to the others for help.
Why don’t we do more of this Sometimes, we are just too afraid to ask someone to share the load. Sharing can make our life much easier.
Think about winter in summer
Ants know there are seasons. They collect food and build the nest all through the summer even when they still have enough to eat. So when the cold days of winter come, the ants can stay in their warm nest and never worry about being hungry. They plan for their life!
