The Giant Panda - An Endangered Species
The giant panda is a well-known endangered species. It gets its name from its large, round body and distinctive black-and-white fur.
Giant pandas mainly live in the mountain ranges in central China, like Sichuan, Shaanxi and Gansu provinces. These areas have plenty of bamboo, which is the panda's main food source.
Sadly, its population is very small. According to the latest research, there are only about 1,800 giant pandas left in the wild. The decrease in their number is mainly because their habitat is being destroyed and the amount of bamboo is reducing.
Giant pandas are not only cute but also very important to our ecosystem. We should do our best to protect them.
Must do:
Polish your writing and add more information about that endangered species and give a report to your classmates.
Homework
