I would use green, blue, and white to describe my hometown, Hainan. Green is for the coconut groves(椰林) and tropical rainforests(热带雨林) that cover the island like a natural blanket(毯子). Blue is for the endless South China Sea and the clear sky above—it shows the freedom(自由) and openness of island life. White is for the sandy beaches and the warm, simple smiles of the people, reminding(想起) everyone of peace and sunshine.
