Daniel was an 18-year-old man with a big dream. His dream was to study coral reefs and protect ocean life. To become a good ocean explorer, he had practiced a lot. And finally, he got his chance to explore the Red Sea Coral Reef. It's a place he had only read about in textbooks.
With his teammate Sarah, Daniel swam in the blue water. Schools of colourful fish swam around them. A green sea turtle passed by, almost touching Daniel's shoulder. The reef was full of life.
The most exciting part came when they found a hidden cave (洞穴). Driven by curiosity, they went inside together. In the sand at the bottom, they saw something extraordinary—parts of an old sailing vessel!
Exploring underwater was risky. Strong currents (水流) could pull them away, and dark cave corners might hide unexpected things. Sometimes they even had to face dangers, such as sudden changes in water temperature. But Daniel believed understanding nature was worth it. Death Valley is located in California. It is one of the natural wonders. Rocks here can move by themselves across the flat desert surface. This unusual phenomenon (现象) attracts scientists and visitors to come.
How does that happen It's said that after a rain, water covers the surface of Racetrack Playa (a flat dry lake bed in the valley). When night comes and temperatures drop, the water freezes into thin ice. During the day, the ice breaks because it melts (融化) in the sun. Then, strong desert winds push the ice across the wet surface, carrying the rocks with them.As a result, how far the rocks move changes each time. Some go several metres. Others hardly move at all. The different marks in the dirt show this process is changeable.
This natural wonder is more amazing for one reason. It happens in one of the earth's hottest places. Few living things can survive there. These moving rocks keep attracting people from around the world. They are curious about this secret. The rocks move quietly over the flat desert. They make patterns (花纹) that can last for years.
In the past years, scientists have studied how the wind affects the movement. They've learned that even small changes in conditions can make big differences in how far the rocks go.
In short, Death Valley's moving rocks are a special mix of rain, ice, wind and heat. This natural wonder still makes people want to learn more, showing how amazing our planet can be.

After visiting, I felt very lucky. Such natural beauty is precious. We must protect it—Don't leave rubbish and don't pick flowers. I hope more people can enjoy its beauty while keeping it clean.
