小作文【答案 1】
Dear fellow students,
When it comes to the two themes for our class meeting, I am firmly in favor of Balancing Short Videos
and Academic Studies.
Nowadays, many of us spend too much time on short videos, which affects our focus and study
efficiency. Discussing this topic can help us realize the problem and find practical ways to manage screen
time better. It is also very relevant to our daily life, so everyone will have something to share.
I believe this topic will make our class meeting both meaningful and helpful.
Thank you for listening!
小作文【答案 2】
Dear fellow students,
When choosing between the two themes, I strongly recommend the Digital Detox Challenge.
Nowadays, many of us are addicted to phones and online apps, which leaves us little time for
face-to-face communication or deep thinking. This challenge can help us take a break from the digital world,
reconnect with real life, and focus more on our studies and offline hobbies. It is both practical and
meaningful for all of us.
I believe this topic will be warmly received by everyone.
Thank you for listening!

【答案】One possible version:
Without delay, I started to think of practical ways to help the old shop. I rolled up my sleeves,
swept the dusty floor thoroughly and wiped the old sewing machine and tool shelf clean. I carefully tidied
the messy needles, threads and small tools in good order. Using colorful paper, I designed simple but
eye-catching posters to show all kinds of repair services. I also helped place some neatly mended shoes and
bags outside as examples, hoping this warm old landmark could draw people’s attention again.
My efforts soon attracted more and more neighbors to join in. Some brought their broken
belongings for repair, while others stopped to chat with Uncle Chen just like before. Several warm-hearted
residents shared the story of the old shop in the community group, calling on people to value and support
traditional craftsmanship. Gradually, the quiet shop became lively and busy once more. Seeing the relieved
smile return to Uncle Chen’s face, I truly realized that real warmth comes not from empty pity, but from
active action.

20.What is the best way to keep a conversation going
A. Sharing your hobbies. B. Making your talk funny. C. Showing your sincerity.
【答案】17. B 18. B 19. C 20. C
【原文】W: Have you ever wished you were better at making a conversation A great talker is someone who
connects with people and makes them feel important. When they talk to you, they make you feel you’re the
only person in the room. Becoming a good talker requires knowing three things: first, how to start a
conversation; second, how to keep it going; and third, how to end it. Starting a conversation usually means
coming up with an opening line or icebreaker. The best kind of icebreaker is one that makes people happy.
Praise is always a good icebreaker and will usually be welcomed. The last thing people want to hear from a
stranger is how noisy the party is, how terrible the food is, or how ugly the people are dressed. But don’t
attempt to be the smartest person in the room. No one is expected to know everything. Anyway, the fact is,
the best way to attract a person to keep a conversation with you is by being sincere and respectful, and
letting them know that you are interested in talking to them.

Wee k after week, I made the journe y down city streets to th e music store, where I took lessons
fro m Mr. Markiewicz, an older man who wasn't particularly chi ld fiendly. It's an cspecial l- y
difficult instrument to play well — something about breath control, managing one's tongue and
fingers, and keeping spit from blocking the works. Getting one moving tone out of a clarinet (单簧管)
is a real success. I recalled the early struggl e to get tha t frst, clear note out of the instrument . It took
about five days. And then I made every effort to practic e thos e early scales, accompanied by the
disapproval of Mr. Markicwicz, and th e shaking o f his head as I hit one wrong note afte r another.
But I persisted. Other kids who had take n up the clarinet gave it up on e by one.
After college, other things took over. But my mind occasionally wandered back t o th e good
times Id had with the clarinet. Yes, my dear, we were youn g and starry-eyed, but weren't those
happy days Wha t happened to us Where did they go I deci ded t o reach ou t to tha t long-ago love

The famou s author Isaac Bashevi s Singer once wrote: “In love, as in othe r matters, the young

He must have been a clarinetist.
