How to Deal with Bad Feelings
By Li Ming
Emotions are like a mirror, reflecting our thoughts and feelings. It’s important for us to learn how to deal with bad feelings.
I once failed an exam. I was so sad that I didn’t want to talk to anyone. When my best friend came to comfort me, I shouted at her angrily. This made me feel worse. Soon, I realized my mistake and said sorry to her. She forgave me and we became good friends again.
How should we deal with our bad feelings First, accept that some bad feelings are normal. There’s no need to fight them, because that will make them stronger. Second, talk to someone we trust about our feelings. By doing these things, we can manage our feelings better.
That’s all. Thank you!2025-2026学年度第二学期期中质检

First, workers choose high-quality sorghum (高粱) and break it into small pieces. Then they mix it with water and steam it for one and a half to two hours. After that, they add a special ingredient called daqu. Next, workers smoke the mixture in a special oven. The most important thing here is to watch the temperature and time carefully. The high heat turns it darker, until it becomes a very dark purple. This step gives the vinegar its special color and taste. If the temperature or time is wrong, the vinegar won’t taste good.
Then, workers take out the vinegar and age it. The new vinegar is put into big jars (坛子) and left outside in the sun for several months. This helps get water out of the vinegar and concentrates its special taste.

Do you think you should only try to be happy Think again! Unhappy feelings like sadness or anger can actually be helpful. Scientists say these emotions are good for you. When you feel sad, maybe because of a low score, you might not want to do anything. But this rest helps you recover (恢复). By pushing you to clear your mind, sadness allows for better memory and more careful thought. For example, after a hard and sad day, having a rest helps you recover your energy and get ready for future challenges. If you feel angry, like when your phone breaks, you might want to make it work again at once. Anger drives you to act fast and solve problems quickly. Before a big test, you might feel nervous. This feeling makes you notice possible risks and study harder. It also helps you see things more clearly, so you don’t miss important details. Boredom (无聊) happens when there is nothing exciting. But it’s important. It can push you to try something new, like a hobby or a different way of learning. So next time you feel sad, angry, nervous, or bored, remember that your feelings are trying to help you! They are not bad—they are your helpers. Pay attention to them, and you will do better in life.
