My name is Jenny. I'm a movie lover and I go to see movies very often. And I want my kids to like movies, too. I still remember the first time I took my daughter,May, to the movie theatre. At that time she was 6 and the movie we watched was Bambi. I chose it because I thought a cartoon movie would be good for her.
Everything was going just fine and Bambi was so lovely. However, when a man killed Bambi, my daughter became very sad and asked to go home. So we left in the middle of the movie. Later when I decided to take my daughter to the theatre, I chose movies more carefully and my daughter watched many great ones. Luckily, she likes movies as much as I do now.
However, I still worry: Are cartoons really safe for kids
Once I sat on the sofa, watching a cartoon with my 8-year-old son, Nick. I was surprised when I saw a cartoon character bleeding(流血)in front of us. The cartoon was like an action movie for adults!
So what I want to say is that the next time you take a kid to the movie theatre, be careful. Maybe a cartoon isn't the best. You should take the time to watch it first (It's a habit of mine) or the kid may get messages he or she isn't ready to get yet.

We are all familiar with banks where we save money, but have you ever heard of a "Food Bank" In Shenzhen's Futian District, you will find smart boxes that look like package lockers. They provide free, fresh food day and night to those in need. Starting in May 2022, the project is a team effort involving the government, companies, and social organizations. About 22 smart boxes across Futian's 10streets are filled with various safe foods.
Just like a traditional bank, this system relies on "deposits" and A withdrawals." The "deposits" come from 87 partner enterprises which donate extra or soon-to-expire (到期) items.A touching example is the "veteran steamed buns"---funded and handmade by a retired soldier using his pension(退休金),which have become a local favorite.
The "withdrawals", however, work differently. Instead of the owners taking the food back, it is offered to the people in need. First, the food is saved for low-income families, the disabled, and street cleaning workers via the "Shenzhen" App before 8 p.m. To minimize waste, any leftovers are available to the general public after 8 p.m.
Safety is the top concern. The bank follows strict rules: boxes are kept at a low temperature, all food sources are known, and officials do regular checks.
By December 2025, the project has helped 484,000 people, saving 195 tons of food from waste and reducing carbon emissions by 390 tons. These food banks do more than provide food, they build community spirit and promote sustainability, serving as a shining model of Shenzhen's creative and kind urban care.

Hello, everyone. I am glad to be here to share my experience of being a volunteer.Last winter vacation, I took part in a volunteer activity at the community library. My job was to organize books and help young kids find their favorite picture books. At first, I was a little nervous, but seeing the kids' big smiles when they found their books made me feel so warm.
This activity taught me that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference. I also learned how to communicate better with people. In the future, I plan to join more volunteer activities, like helping the elderly in the neighborhood. I believe volunteering not only helps others but also makes me a better person. That’s all. Thanks for your listening!
