Dear Organizer,
I am Li Hua,a Chinese exchange student currently studying at a local high school.I am writing to apply
for the "Global Skills Showcase"during the upcoming International Cultural Festival.I would be honored to
demonstrate the traditional Chinese skill of paper-cutting.
For my showcase session,I plan to first give a brief introduction to the origin and meaning of Chinese
paper-cutting,then conduct a live demonstration of cutting the "luck"character.After that,I will arrange a
simple hands-on activity,so students can personally experience the charm of this traditional craft.
Paper-cutting is a meaningful cultural art.Sharing it would promote cross-cultural understanding and
allow me to contribute to the festival's spirit of exchange.Thank you for your consideration

Just as Mike hoped,the arrangement with the senior facility was a huge success.The mock football games
had the residents cheering and laughing,their faces lighting up with excitement.During the fun games and
contests,the high school kids and the seniors were fully engaged,creating a lively and joyful atmosphere.The
snacks added to the merriment,and the one-on-one chats were filled with warmth.The players listened
attentively to the seniors'stories,and the seniors were delighted to share their experiences.Many of the
residents,who often felt lonely,found comfort and companionship in the presence of these energetic young
people.
After this initial visit,the program became a regular event.The players looked forward to each trip to the
senior center.They formed deep bonds with the residents,visiting them not only during the scheduled
activities but also on their own time.The seniors,in turn,became like grandparents to the players,offering
advice and support.Watching these relationships flourish,Coach Mike often found himself moved by what he
witnessed."This is what Men for Others'truly means,"he would think,seeing his players mature into
thoughtful young men who understood that leadership begins with service.It truly lived up to the motto "Men
for Others”.
