Georgia, who works for a popular fashion store in the UK named Bows Boutique, left her purse at a gas station after her company party in early December. She was heartbroken, but thinking someone must have taken it away, she gave up the idea of going back to look for it and didn’t phone the station to ask about it. But her tears quickly dried when an off-duty firefighter named Nyma showed up at her door.
A ring camera caught Georgia and Nyma’s exchange, and the owner of Bows Boutique posted the video on the store’s Instagram page. In it, Nyma rang her doorbell and Georgia answered it using a phone app. Nyma explained where he found the lost purse and said he decided to drive straight to her house so she wouldn’t have to experience an extra moment of panic.
Georgia was moved to tears and kept offering to send Nyma money for his good deed, but he refused. He simply asked her to pay it forward, and explained that it was no trouble for him though Georgia knew he needed to drive hours to her house. Because she wasn’t home at the time, he left the purse in an empty garbage bag and left.
The owner and Georgia were so touched by the gesture, and they started a search for the mystery man so they could give him a proper “thank you”. It didn’t take long to find him. I hoped to be set free one day, so I was nice to the Lilliputians. Gradually, they lost fear of me. Sometimes the children even played hide-and-seek in my hair.
One day, the king said to me, “Gulliver, I invite you to watch an important performance. It is a competition called Rope Dancing.” In the competition, a thin rope was tied between two poles (柱子) very high above the ground. People had to dance on this rope. Each dancer tried to jump higher than the others. I had never seen such a dangerous sport.
“Your Majesty,” I said, “many dancers must fall and be hurt or killed.”
“Yes,” he replied. “But I will give the best jobs in my kingdom to the men who are not afraid and jump the highest.” How strange it was to choose who would work for the country like this!
Then, as the king watched, I tied each corner of my handkerchief (手帕) to a strong stick, and pushed the four sticks into the ground. My handkerchief was now under the rope but above the ground. Any dancer who fell would land on the handkerchief and not get hurt. The king was very pleased with my invention. His family and many other people watched the rope dancing.
“Would you and the queen like to see better ” I asked the king. I gently put them on my hand and held it beside the rope. They had a good view of the dancers. One very skilled performer held on to the rope and flipped (翻转) his body right over it. The king and the queen clapped loudly and cheered. Later the king told me that he made this man one of his chief advisers.
The king and I met often. He seemed to enjoy our conversations. One day, I said again, “Your Majesty, please set me free.” This time he answered, “I have talked to my advisers. We agree that you have been good to our people.”

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become a common tool in our daily lives. From helping us draw and write to finding answers in seconds, AI is getting smarter every day. With its rapid development, some people worry that AI might one day take over human jobs and even replace (替代) humans in many areas.
However, I believe AI will never truly replace humans. Here are several reasons to support this view.
First of all, AI doesn’t have feelings. It can generate a beautiful painting in just a few seconds, but it does so without any feeling. It does not experience joy, sadness, or love while creating. Human art, on the other hand, is full of emotion. Only humans can truly express what is in their hearts, and only humans can care for others in a deep and meaningful way.
Secondly, humans are naturally creative. We can think in new ways and come up with original (独创的) ideas. AI, by contrast, can only work with the data (数据) it has been given. It learns from what we teach it and cannot produce anything truly new or original. Human imagination allows us to dream, explore, and innovate in ways that machines simply cannot.
Third, humans have the ability to tell right from wrong. We make decisions based on values, morals and empathy (价值观、道德和同理心). AI may follow data and logic, but it does not truly understand the importance of its actions. It cannot feel guilty, sympathy, or a sense of justice.
In conclusion, AI is a powerful and helpful tool, but it is not a replacement for human beings. It can help us, make us more efficient, and inspire new ideas, but it cannot feel, imagine, or judge like we do. To succeed in the future, we must continue to develop our hearts and minds — qualities that make us unique (独特的) human.
42.What can AI do according to the passage
A.It can feel happy or sad. B.It can think like a human.
C.It can tell right from wrong. D.It can help us draw and write.
43.Which of the following would the writer most likely agree with
A.To succeed in the future, we should let AI do everything for us.
B.Humans should keep learning and growing their own abilities.
C.Creativity is not important in the age of AI.
D.AI can teach humans how to be more creative.
44.Which of the following statements is TRUE according to the passage
A.AI can feel joy when it creates art.
B.Humans and AI both have the ability to tell right from wrong.
C.The writer thinks AI will soon replace humans in most areas.
D.AI can only work with the data it has been given.
45.What is the main idea of the passage
A.AI can work by itself without any human data.
B.AI is better than humans at being creative.
C.Humans should stop using AI because it is dangerous.
D.AI is useful, but humans have unique qualities that cannot be replaced.

People can visit online shopping malls at home and buy everything they want with just a few clicks, and there will be no need to wait in long queues.
