As winter comes, Shenzhen Bay Park and other coastal (沿海的)parks do a kind thing—they close Carly and turn offal lights at night. This action tries to make a quiet, dark place for migratory birds (候鸟)stopping here during their long trip.
Shenzhen is a vital stop on migratory birds’ flying path between East Asia and Australia. Every year, from October to May, nearly 100, 000 birds of over 250 species stop here. The city has done more to protect these “guests”. Workers put up special streetlights in parks—these lights have soft yellow light that doesn’t hurt birds, and they’re good for them to build nests. Many buildings near the wetlands also use special glass, so birds won’t hit it by accident.
________ Workers have planted over 2, 000 trees and fixed the natural water systems to make wetlands better. This gives birds plenty of food and safe places to live. Smart tools like AI cameras help watch birds without troubling them. Also, volunteers organize activities like cleaning the beach to keep the birds’ home tidy. These efforts show that a modern city can be a true friend to nature. Cities and nature can live well together when we care for wild animals. Everyone’s small actions can help protect the beautiful connection between humans and nature.

Sony has released the follow-up to their popular noise cancelling (降噪) headphones, the Sony WH-1000XM6, and we were excited to try them out. Here’s what we found.
One of the biggest changes is that these headphones can fold. The old model could not fold, which made them hard to carry. Now they fit into a smaller case, making them perfect for travel. Sony also made the headband wider, which makes the headphones much more comfortable. This helps spread the weight better across your head.
The battery life is good but not amazing. You can listen for up to 30 hours with noise cancellation on, or 40 hours with it off. The best part is that they charge very quickly. Just three minutes of charging gives you 3 hours of listening time. You can keep listening while the headphones are charging.
The noise cancellation technology is excellent. Sony added four more microphones to make a total of 12 around the headphones. This helps block outside noise much better. The headphones work especially well on airplanes, blocking engine noise while you enjoy your music.
The sound quality is very impressive. The bass sounds are deep and powerful, while the higher sounds are clear and detailed. Music sounds rich and full, with great balance between low and high sounds. Whether you listen to rock music, classical pieces, or podcasts, everything sounds amazing. The headphones handle different types of audio content perfectly, from quiet voices to loud drums.
Overall, the Sony WH-1000XM6 headphones are excellent. They are more comfortable, easier to carry, and sound better than many other headphones. They cost more money than basic headphones,
but the quality and features make them worth buying if you love good audio.
51. Why can people carry the new headphones easily
A. They can fold. B. The headbands are wider.
C. They are lighter. D. They cancel a lot of noise.
52. How long can you use the headphones if you turn on noise cancellation

It seems that food deliverymen (送货员) always wear blue, red or yellow helmets and many of them don’t follow traffic rules. 56 They also use mobile phones in a hurry.
57 In the first half of 2017, food deliverymen had 76 traffic accidents in Shanghai, according to Shanghai Public Security Bureau. That means every two and a half days, a food deliveryman will die or get hurt on the road.
58 . The strict rules of the food delivery service companies and the anxious customers may be the answer. Many companies will fine a deliveryman up to 2, 000 yuan, if he fails to deliver an order on time, reported China Daily. 59
To solve the problem, food delivery service companies need to improve their incentive systems, noted CRI Online. 60 Shanghai has asked companies to train their deliverymen on traffic rules and safety. Now in Shenzhen, if a deliveryman gets caught breaking traffic rules more than twice, then he will be banned (被禁止) from driving food service delivery vehicles for a whole year.
A. Some cities are also taking action. B. These rude behaviors have caught the public’s attention. C What makes deliverymen take such risks D. Fines also go to those who get bad reviews from customers. E They drive on the wrong side of the road and run red lights.

E
In today’s busy world, we often forget to take care of ourselves. Since the end of 2025, a new and fun saying has been popular among young people— “Love you, my old self”. Here, “old self” is a cute way to talk about ourselves in a friendly manner.
It first came from a short video posted by a blogger, who said “I want to eat a pomelo (柚子), but I’m too lazy to peel it.” Yet right after that, she peeled it and enjoyed it herself, saying “Love you, my old self. See you tomorrow!”
Life is always challenging. We have to deal with lots of work, stress, and sometimes face difficult situations. When we’re tired from working all day or feel sad, remember to love our “old selves”.
How can we do that It’s not difficult at all, and different roles have their special ways of loving their “old selves”. After a long tiring day at work, a mother can lose herself in a good book first, instead of rushing to do housework. A teacher, busy with giving lessons and grading papers, can attend a short yoga class after school to be ready for the next day.
Loving our “old selves” means putting ourselves first sometimes. It’s not being selfish. It’s about knowing that we’re important too. By taking good care of ourselves, we’ll have more energy and be happier. Besides, this positive mind can also influence the people around us.
