In his later years, at the age of 75, he served as the chief designer of the Chang'e Project, realizing China's first lunar exploration; he also served as the chief designer of Beidou-1 and Beidou-2, promoting the implementation of China's independent satellite navigation system.
He has won honors such as the Medal of Merit for the Two Bombs, One Satellite, the National Highest Science and Technology Award, and the Medal of the Republic. Reporters learned from CNOOC (China National Offshore Oil Corporation) that the CO Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS) project at Dongfang 1-1 Gas Field has officially started construction. As China’s first offshore demonstration project of carbon injection to enhance gas recovery technology, it is expected to store more than 1 million tons of CO underground every year at most after full operation, achieving both environmental protection and increased natural gas production.
The so-called “carbon injection to enhance gas recovery” refers to CO -enhanced oil recovery (EOR) technology, which has gradually developed from the experimental stage to practical commercial use. Its core principle is simple: collect the CO produced during natural gas extraction, make it pure and increase its pressure, and then inject it back into underground gas-bearing formations. This turns the originally useless CO into a valuable resource, which acts as a driving force to extract hard-to-recover natural gas.
The person in charge of the project said that they will move the decarbonization work originally done in onshore processing plants to offshore platforms, thus reducing carbon emissions at the source of offshore natural gas extraction. After completion, the project will be connected to the existing production facilities of Dongfang 1-1 Gas Field, improving the transmission capacity of the subsea pipeline network in the Yinggehai Sea area. It will not only help realize the economic extraction of more carbon-rich natural gas resources in the region but also contribute to the long-term stable gas production of the Dongfang Gas Field Group.
8. What is the main purpose of the CCUS project at Dongfang 1-1 Gas Field (深度改编)
A. To increase the production of offshore oil
B. To reduce carbon emissions and boost gas production
C. To test a new onshore decarbonization technology
D. To build a new subsea pipeline network
9. What can we know about “carbon injection to enhance gas recovery” technology (深度改编)
A. It is still in the experimental stage.
B. It is widely used in onshore gas fields.
C. It makes CO useful for gas extraction.
D. It requires building new production facilities.
10. Why will the decarbonization work be moved to offshore platforms (深度改编)
A. To cut costs of onshore processing plants
B. To improve the efficiency of gas extraction
C. To reduce carbon emissions from the source
D. To adapt to the subsea pipeline network
11. What influence will the project have after completion (深度改编)
A. It will replace the existing production facilities of Dongfang 1-1 Gas Field.
B. It will promote the economic development of the Yinggehai Sea area.
C. It will help the Dongfang Gas Field Group maintain stable production.
D. It will solve the problem of carbon emissions in offshore areas.

In the digital age, the fast development of artificial intelligence (AI) has brought great changes to people’s lives and work. While AI brings much convenience and efficiency, it also brings a series of moral and practical challenges that the whole society must deal with.
AI has been widely used in many fields. In medical care, AI-assisted diagnosis systems can analyze medical images faster and more correctly, helping doctors find diseases early. In education, intelligent tools offer personalized learning plans for students with different learning speeds. In daily life, smart home devices, voice assistants and AI-driven transportation make life easier.
Although AI has advantages, it also has potential risks. Data privacy is a big worry: AI systems depend on large amounts of user data, which may be let out without good protection. Besides, AI may take the place of some repetitive jobs, making many workers face the risk of losing their jobs.
AI ethics is also a hot topic.AI decision-making systems may have unfair preferences because of imperfect data, leading to unfair results in job recruitment and law enforcement. What’s more, it brings up questions about responsibility if AI harms humans.
To solve these challenges, governments, companies and people must work together. Governments should make laws to standardize AI use and protect privacy. Companies should make AI safer and take social responsibility. People should get used to the AI era and use AI in a reasonable way.
AI development cannot be stopped. Only by balancing its advantages and risks can we use it to push social progress and improve people’s quality of life.
12. What is the main idea of the passage (深度改编)
A. AI has been widely used in medical care and education.
B. AI brings both convenience and challenges to society.
C. Data privacy is the biggest risk of AI development.
D. Governments should regulate the use of AI strictly.
13. Which field is NOT mentioned where AI is applied (原创)
A. Medical care B. Education C. Agriculture D. Daily life
14. What can we infer from the passage about AI’s impact on employment (深度改编)
A. AI will replace all jobs in the future.
B. AI has no negative impact on employment.
C. Some workers may lose their jobs because of AI.
D. AI will create more jobs than it replaces.
15. What is the author’s attitude towards the development of AI (深度改编)
A. Fully supportive B. Strongly opposed

46. 书信作文(80 词左右)
Dear Peter;
I'm delighted to hear about your interest in Chinese culture. Let me introduce the Mid-Autumn Festival, a cherished tradition in my hometown.
This festival, falling on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month, is a time for family reunion. We admire the full moon, symbolizing unity, and eat mooncakes, a special pastry with various fillings. My family gathers for a big dinner, lights lanterns, and shares stories under the bright moonlight.
It is a magical time filled with warmth and joy. I warmly invite you to visit us next year so you can experience this beautiful festival firsthand!
Best wishes,
Li Hua
47. 读后续写(150 词左右)
Li Hua kept calm and tried to think of a way out. He remembered the survival skills taught by his geography teacher. "Don't panic! Follow me," he shouted firmly to his classmates. He observed the growth direction of the moss on the trees, which usually grows on the shady side, helping him determine the general direction. Using a stick as a support, they moved slowly and carefully along the slope, avoiding the slippery rocks. Although their clothes were wet and they were shivering, Li Hua's confidence gradually calmed everyone down.
Just as they felt hopeless, they heard a familiar voice. It was their head teacher, Mr. Wang, calling their names anxiously! They shouted back with all their strength. Moments later, a flashlight beam cut through the darkness. Seeing the teacher and the rescue team, tears of relief filled their eyes. They were finally safe. This experience taught them a valuable lesson about staying calm in danger and the importance of teamwork.
