When we think of trees, we usually imagine quiet and peaceful plants. But scientists have discovered that trees are actually very social. They can “talk” to each other in a secret way.
Under the forest floor, there is a huge network of fungi (真菌). These fungi connect the roots (根) of different trees. Scientists call this network the “Wood Wide Web.” Through it, trees can share food and water.
