通过本课时学习，学生能够：
（1）听懂听力内容，理解自然界的多样性和生命的神奇；
（2）运用本课时的核心词汇和句型谈论大自然中的神奇生命。

语音训练 1.学生阅读Phonetics in use部分的内容，并跟读。 2.学生跟读教材活动3的听力材料，模仿语音。 根据不同能力水平学生跟读的情况给予指导和鼓励。
运用本课时的核心词汇和句型谈论大自然中的神奇生命。 Post-listening 1.学生关注教材活动4中的图片，回答问题：What are they What do you know about them 2.学生两人一组进行对话，讨论大自然中的神奇生命。学生根据教材提示进行对话，并在班级内展示。 根据学生的对话情况，评价其能否运用核心词汇和句型谈论大自然中的神奇生命。
作业内容： 必做： Do some research on another amazing animal and write a paragraph about it. 选做： Talk about what you have learnt about amazing life in nature with your parents.
