Then she realizes she’s forgotten the key on a table, but she’s grown too small to reach it.
What does the words in red mean
Present perfect 现在完成时
Have you decided on a book for your report Yes, I have. / No, I haven’t.
Has Peter ever heard of this book No, he’s never heard of it.
Has Chen Jie read this book yet No, but she’s already borrowed it from the library.
What have you read recently I’ve just finished The Romance of the Three Kingdoms.
I’ve = I have she’s = she has haven’t = have not hasn’t = has not Read the sentences and underline the present perfect forms of the verbs. Pay attention to the meanings of the bold words.

现在完成时
表示过去发生或已经完成的某一动作对现在造成的影响或结果，或从过去开始一直延续到现在的动作或保存的状态。
◆肯定式：主语 + have / has + 动词过去分词 + 其它。如：
They have spent all their money, so they have to walk home.
他们把所有的钱都花光了，只好步行回家。
[注意]
这里的have / has是助动词，没有具体意义。当主语是第三人称单数时，助动词用has，其余人称用have。
现在完成时的句式结构
◆否定式：主语 + have / has + not + 动词过去分词 + 其它。如：
She hasn’t travelled on a train yet.
她还未坐过火车旅行。
[注意]
have not, has not的缩略式分别为haven’t, hasn’t。
◆一般疑问式：Have / Has + 主语 + 动词过去分词 + 其它？
肯定回答: Yes, 主语 + have / has.
否定回答: No, 主语 + haven’t / hasn’t.
如：
— Have you ever made dumplings
你曾包过饺子吗？
— Yes, I have.
是的，我包过。
◆特殊疑问句：疑问词 + have / has + 主语 + 动词过去分词 + 其它？如：
Who has broken the window
谁打破了窗户
When have you finished your homework
你什么时候完成的作业
规则动词
①动词后加-ed，如：
work — worked，cook — cooked。
②以e结尾的动词加-d，如：
live — lived，like — liked。
③以“辅音字母+y”结尾的动词将y改为i再加-ed，如：
try — tried，carry — carried。
④末尾只有一个辅音字母的重读闭音节词，先双写这个辅音
字母，再加-ed，如：
stop — stopped，drop — dropped。
过去分词的构成
(2)不规则动词
不规则动词的过去分词形式需要特殊记忆，如：
see — seen，be — been，take — taken
already, just, yet, never, ever基本用法
already（已经）
用法：表示动作在说话之前已经完成，常用于肯定句和疑问句。
位置：通常放在 have/has 之后、过去分词之前。
例句：
I have already painted the house. 我已经粉刷了房子。
Has she already left 她已经离开了吗？
just（刚刚）
用法：表示动作刚刚发生，强调时间很近。
位置：放在 have/has 之后、过去分词之前。
例句：
He has just arrived home. 他刚刚到家。
We have just watched that movie. 我们刚看完那部电影。
yet（还，已经）
用法：在疑问句中表示“已经”，用于询问是否完成。
在否定句中表示“还（没）”，说明动作尚未发生。
位置：通常放在句末。
例句：
Have you done your homework yet 你做完作业了吗？
I haven’t seen that film yet. 我还没看那部电影。
never（从未）
用法：表示从过去到现在从未发生过，强调“一次也没有”。
位置：放在 have/has 之后、过去分词之前。
注意：句子本身已是否定含义，不再加 not。
例句：
She has never been to Beijing. 她从没去过北京。
I have never read that book. 我从没读过那本书。
ever（曾经）
用法：多用于疑问句，询问过去的经历；也可用于否定句或某些肯定句（如最高级后）。
位置：放在 have/has 之后、过去分词之前。
例句：
Have you ever tried Japanese food 你吃过日本料理吗？
This is the best book I have ever read. 这是我读过最好的书。
