Many people have read exciting stories about heroes who only had a short time to
live.Sometimes,it was a year,and sometimes just 24 hours.These stories make us wonder
what we would do under similar conditions.What would we try to fit into those last hours

Sometimes,I have thought we should live each day as if it were our last.Most of us,
however,take life for granted.We do the same thing with our senses.Only deaf people
appreciate hearing.Only blind people understand how great it is to be able to see.It's the same
old story-we don't appreciate what we have until we lose it.I've often thought it would be good
if everyone were blind and deaf for a few days Being in the dark would make them appreciate
being able to see.Being in silence would show them how great sounds can be.
Now and then,I test my seeing friends to see what they notice.Recently a fiiend came
back from a walk in the woods."What did you see I asked."Nothing special,she said.How
is it possible to walk for an hour and not see anything worth talking about I can't see.But I
find hundreds of interesting things.I can feel the delicate patterns of a leaf or the smooth skin
of a tree.I can touch a flower and feel its soft texture (.Sometimes,I can even feel a
bird singing in a tree.I wish I could see all these things.If I get so much pleasure from touching
them,how much more beautiful must they be But people with eyes hardly notice any of
it.They take the whole world of color for granted.IfI had just three days to see by some miracle,
I'd divide the time into three parts.

The Most Core Abilities for the Future
In my opinion,the most important core abilities we need for the future are life-long learning and
communication
First,life-long learning helps us keep up with the rapidly changing world.New knowledge and
technologies appear every day,so we must stay curious and keep learning.Second,communication allows us
to express our ideas clearly and build good relationships with others.No matter how skilled we are,teamwork
and understanding always require effective communication,both in work and daily life.
To improve these abilities,I will develop the habit ofreading and exploring new fields regularly.Meanwhile,
I will practice speaking in public and listen more carefully to others,as well as learn to express myself more
clearly.
