The King’s Speech
All his life King George VI fought against his fear of speaking in public. Whenever he spoke to a big audience, he found it difficult to speak clearly and confidently. But he had to give a speech to the public on radio.
Luckily, a doctor came to help the King get better at speaking. One of the most effective methods he used was to ask the King to read Shakespeare’s plays out loud. This helped him control his breathing and speaking speed. Over time, the King’s speech skills improved greatly.
