Writing tip 1:
Use a clear structure (e.g. early life, personal qualities, key missions, achievements / honours).
Look at Wang Yao’s notes, and then compare them with the article. Which information did she not use Why do you think she left this part out
Wang Yao didn’t mention that Nie Haisheng loved reading when he was little. I think she left this out because it wasn’t as important as the other information.
Writing tip 2:
You don’t need to include all the information you collected. Try to focus on the most important and interesting information.

Hello, everyone. I’m Li Hua. Today I would love to introduce a great Chinese astronaut — Chen Dong.
Chen Dong was born in Henan Province in 1978. He became very interested in space when he was in middle school. He joined the People’s Liberation Army Air Force in 1997 and became a national astronaut in 2010. In 2016, Chen went into space on Shenzhou-11. During his first spaceflight, he stayed in space for about 30 days. In 2022, he went into space on Shenzhou-14 and served as commander. In 2025, he completed his third space flight in the Shenzhou-20 spaceflight. Chen Dong was called“Heroic Astronaut”because of his great work.
Chen Dong is a true hero. His story tells us to follow our dreams and never give up.

Instead, he was determined to make his dream come true. He joined the People’s Liberation Army Air Force in 1997 and was chosen as a member of the Chinese astronaut team in 2010. In 2016, he successfully took off on Shenzhou-11 and stayed in space for about 30 days. In 2022, he went on his second space flight and served
as commander on the Shenzhou-14 mission. In 2025, he completed his third space flight on Shenzhou-20. As a result, he was given the title “Heroic Astronaut” because of his great contributions to China’s space industry.
In my opinion, Chen Dong is not only a great astronaut but also a true role model for young people like us. His experience inspires us to work hard for our dreams.
