Serengeti National Park is a 5,700-square-mile wildlife park in Tanzania,Africa. It is one of the world’s oldest nature systems, and it has the most animals of any area on the planet.Every year, about 1.5 million wild animals travel 1,600 miles across the park in search of food and fresh water. This amazing event draws thousands of tourists every year.In early November, when the rains begin, the animals make their way south toward the grasslands. When the water sources dry up,they head north for the next three to four months to drink, and to eat the delicious plants along the way.In February, when the new babies are born, lions begin to follow a group of wild animals in hopes of an easy meal.In June, most of the wild animals will gather by the rivers that cross the northern part of the grasslands. This provides an unforgettable event for photographers, because many animals are eaten by crocodiles as they attempt to cross the river.July and August are the top months for tourists, however, due to the small amount of rain. There are two other areas of the park other than the grasslands. The western area is forested, and this is where the crocodiles and monkeys live. The northern Serengeti is home to many elephants.

In valleys with thick plants,different-sized round and square buildings with faded yellow clay walls and wooden roofs, tulou lies in mountainous villages in Longyan,Fujian Province. There are more than 23,000 tulous in Yongding, which became well-known after 46 were given World Heritage status by UNESCO in 2008.“The structures were awarded because they are exceptional examples of a building of tradition and function demonstrating a particular type of communal (共有的) living and defensive organisation, and,in terms of their harmonious relationship with their environment,an outstanding example of human settlement,” UNESCO said.
The giant multi-storeyed tulou was built with wood and mud walls.Constructed from the 15th to 20th centuries, these massive communal homes were sited based on feng shui principles, which claim to use energy forces to harmonise individuals with their environment.Tulou is also purposefully located amid tea, tobacco, rice plantations and abundant forests of pine and bamboo.
Throughout history, tulou residents have mostly been Hakka—migrants in southern China.Population pressures created conflict between the Hakka and their neighbours,so they built their homes to double as defending. The buildings are mainly four or five storeys high. The first floor serves as the kitchen, the second is used for grain storage and the upper floors act as living areas. The structures are mainly symmetrical (对称的),and their defensive features include ironclad gates, escape tunnels, narrow openings for weapons under the dark-tiled roofs, and a water well. For their defensive function, only rooms on the third floor and higher have windows, which are very small. With sufficient food, the residents could survive in the event of a lengthy conflict.
Communal living is integrity to these villages, where the closed wall design boosts social interaction.Residents gather in the courtyard for ceremonies.Tulou is such an extraordinary piece of architecture, living up to the title given by UNESCO.

短文。
Elsie watched her older brothers,Edward and Samuel, who were smiling while they held their spelling bee awards and stood at the front of the one-room schoolhouse.
The pale winter sun came through the window and washed the room in a soft light.Heat came from the wood-burning warming stove, and the little wooden schoolhouse was comfortable and warm despite the December weather.
The students could hear the rushing sound of the nearby stream flowing over the rocks. The air smelled salty from the sea, mixed with a sweet smell of fir trees.
Elsie smiled and clapped her hands with the other six students, but inside she felt a strange sadness.Every time she tried to be as good as Edward and Samuel, she did not succeed.
She reached down to touch the ears of her puppy dog,Bear. He rewarded her with a stare of love, eyes shining against his thick dark fur.
“What is wrong with me ” her heart asked herself. She knew she was no longer a child. But she was not quite an adult either.Part of her feelings and thoughts were childish. But she could tell another part of her mind was more like an adult.
“Congratulations,Edward and Samuel,” Jeanie, her teacher, said.“You have been equally matched for the spelling bee champions.” “Those were difficult words. You both deserve to win.”
“When am I going to win something ” she thought.“Why is it always them ”
She felt forgotten and alone while the other kids went up to congratulate Edward, aged 15,and Samuel, aged 17.
She thought about her efforts to try to catch up with Edward and Samuel.Elsie wondered if she could ever be able to do what they did,and have her parents proud of her, too.
“Reading time,” said Jeanie.Elsie thought about the way her teacher taught the group, each person reading out loud for practice.

Locals who frequent a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) hospital in Zhengzhou,Henan Province, are often surprised when they are treated by a German doctor specialising in TCM with fluent Henan dialect. He is Joel Mikael Walker,a master’s student nearing graduation in the Henan University of Chinese Medicine. He skillfully performs techniques such as acupuncture (针灸),pulse diagnosis, and cupping therapy.
Walker came to Henan Province in 2015 when he was 20,because it is widely considered to be an important centre for medical practice, education and research for traditional Chinese medicine. Now,he has fully adapted to the lifestyle in Henan. On Chinese social media platforms,Walker is committed to promoting traditional Chinese medicine.

One fundamental worldview of TCM highlights the balance, from which Walker himself benefited. In the past,he experienced significant emotional ups and downs, and tended to be somewhat stubborn, often viewing things from his own perspective. Now he has become more tolerant and approached issues from multiple angles with a more inclusive (包容的) perspective. In other words, his personality has also become more balanced.
According to Walker, the unique wisdom rooted in Chinese culture can not only benefit physical well-being but can also extend beyond medicine and offer excellent guidance for the whole world. He stressed,“If more people could understand the TCM wisdom, the world would become more peaceful.”

Ancient Chinese poetry was the heart and soul of ancient Chinese literature.Poems and songs have been the means of entertainment of men from the earliest times onwards.Records of ancient Chinese poetry have largely been found, from which a large amount of knowledge of ancient poetry of China can be obtained.Ancient Chinese poetry was primarily written to be chanted or sung.
The poetic persona (形象) is a feature of classical Chinese poetry. The persona appears when the poem is written from the viewpoint of other people. Some poems are comments on the then contemporary society and life.Images and symbolism are deeply associated with ancient Chinese poetry.Ancient Chinese poems, although apparently simple in the first reading, have deeper and greater meanings when people read intensively.

Each poem in The Book of Songs was set to music and could be sung.Folk songs made up the most part of the book! Confucius, the great ancient philosopher, was fond of this book.It was also the accepted textbook of the Confucian school.
Chinese poetic history is extremely long and colourful. The Tang Dynasty, the golden age of ancient Chinese poetry, produced many famous poems.Three Hundred Poems of the Tang Dynasty was compiled by Heng Tang Tui Shi (蘅塘退士) of the Qing Dynasty. This was used for many years to teach primary students.
Almost everything is the subject of ancient Chinese poetry including marriage, agriculture, courtship (求爱),sorrow and joy, romance, heroic deeds and so on.Generally, each poem is usually composed of lines of four, five or seven syllables.Translations of ancient Chinese poems are available in books and also online. Now these beautiful poems have attracted readers all over the world.

注意:续写词数应为150个左右。
Paragraph 1:
Jeanie saw Elsie looking low in spirits and knew Elsie was a sensitive child.
Paragraph 2:
