Natural Disasters and Us
Natural disasters, such as earthquakes, floods and storms, happen every year. They can destroy homes and hurt people. But we can do something to protect ourselves.
Before a disaster, we should learn safety rules. For example, during an earthquake, we should hide under a strong table and stay away from windows. We should also prepare emergency bags with food, water and medicine.
After a disaster, we need to stay calm. We should listen to the radio or watch TV for instructions. Do not go back to damaged buildings. Helping each other is also important.
Nature is powerful, but with knowledge and preparation, we can live safely with nature.
