The“20-minute neighborhood” concept, first proposed in Melbourne, Australia, aims to ensure residents can access daily necessities like grocery stores, schools, and healthcare within 20 minutes’ walk or cycle.According to a 2024 global study, cities adopting this model have reduced car usage by 23% on average.
What does the “20-minute neighborhood” enable residents to do
A.To drive to work within 20 minutes.
B.To reach daily facilities by walking or cycling within 20 minutes.
C.To reduce house prices by 23%.
D.To build more grocery stores in the city.
解析:原文“access daily necessities like grocery stores, schools ...within 20 minutes’ walk or cycle”直接对应B项。A项“drive”与原文walk/cycle不符;C项“reduce house prices”无依据;D项“build more stores”曲解。
① 数字时间类:注意基数词、分数、百分比、年代前后的限定词(more than, approximately);② 因果细节:because, so, due to, as a result;③ 人物观点细节:believe, argue, claim, according to;④ 比较细节:than, as...as, similar to, different from。
