Mr Wu:Yes, we’ve changed the way we farm. I used to grow a few vegetables on a small farm to sell at the local market. Now, I have large, high-tech greenhouses. There, I grow tons of fruit and vegetables, and sell them in large cities.

Grammar Focus: Simple Past Tense
Form: Subject + Past Verb (V-ed) + ...
Usage: Focuses on actions that started and finished at a specific time in the past. The time is over.
Key Time Markers:
yesterday, in 2010, last week, ago
Example:
The city developed its infrastructure ten years ago.
Grammar Focus: Present Perfect Tense
Form: Subject + have/has + Past Participle (V-en) + ...
Usage: Focuses on actions that started in the past and continue to the present, OR past actions that have a result/influence in the present.
Key Time Markers:already, yet, just, so far, for, since
Example:The new technology has built a massive influence on our lives since its invention.
