Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières, MSF) is an independent international medical humanitarian organization founded in 1971. It delivers emergency medical aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural disasters, and exclusion from healthcare. MSF operates based on medical ethics and principles of neutrality and impartiality, offering assistance without discrimination. The organization relies on volunteer doctors, nurses, and logistical staff who work in high-risk regions. MSF received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1999 for its pioneering humanitarian work. It remains a vital lifeline for millions, advocating for patient care while bearing witness to crises.
Save the Children, founded in 1919, is a leading global nonprofit fighting for children's rights, health, and education. Operating in over 100 countries, it delivers life-saving supplies, quality learning, and protection from harm, especially during emergencies. The organization advocates for policy changes and empowers communities to break cycles of poverty. By focusing on every child’s right to survive, learn, and be protected, Save the Children has transformed millions of young lives worldwide, ensuring their voices are heard and futures safeguarded.
